A fix like that actually crossed my mind for an instant. This is such a clean original paint, no rust 1967 that I'm going to make a handle to keep it as original as possible.

I'm late to the party, I've got 3 Hornets and 3 K's. All of the K's were not rechambers, the barrels were chambered from the get go as k's. With today's bullets, powder, and nice chambers I won't buy anymore K's.

Thanks for all the offers and help guys it's much appreciated. I'll just have one of the old guys turn me one out. The one that is on there was broken once before so I'm not sure of the total length. 13.25 is probably pretty close. I'll use the 1/2"...

Thanks Pressman. I figured that's what it would take and a less than tight fit in the counterbore is what broke it. What material do you use when you make a new press handle? This is a clean old original paint jr and I want it to look like it...

I broke the handle on my RCBS jr2. I know this was a very common problem on them when they were new and RCBS had you ship the toggle block back so they could bore & tap it to 9/16 to fit the jr 3 handle. Today when I called the customer service...

They have always treated me well. Cracked a press frame so I mailed them a pic. They shipped a new one out no charge. Thanks Lee.

I'm pretty much done with wheel weights. What I used to do is take my 5 gal buckets full of zinkers and a 12 pack to trade for the buckets of unsorted wheel weights. Those battery guys wanted wheel weights I gave them to them.

Glad to hear your bee keeping is going well and your kids are involved with 4-H. Every year we have fewer and fewer bees here in Iowa. The Neonicotinoid pesticides are taking a heavy toll on them. At my place the bald face hornets have driven them...

Iowa Fox replied to a thread USGI sea stories in Our Town
I got out of the Army in 1969 glad to have my military obligation out of the way and behind me. There were lots of returning vets going back to work and we had several navy guys at work so I heard plenty of their sea stories. A couple involved the...

I shoot a lot of Blue Dot loads in the 223 witch includes a 15" Encore barrel. Even with Blue Dot I have a hunch you will get more noise than you want. Actually brakes on handguns don't bother me, even seated in the middle of the benches at the MOA...
