Nice job on that old girl. I've got one that looks just like your top picture. I'll just keep using mine like it is, I would buy a red bicycle grip for the handle if I could find one.

I have single & double cavity Lyman 22 molds (steel) and 3 different Noe 22 molds (aluminum). I don't own any brass 22 molds. I have never had any heat retention issues with any of them but I always cast in the warmer summer months. Actually the...

Stringtown Grocery just off Hwy 1 North of Kalona for us. It's a Mennonite store that sells local produce in season and bulk stuff like rice, oatmeal, flour, raisins, nuts, ect, ect. The girls will bag you up any size you want. My wife buys flour by...

Happy for you Scott. Keep us posted on your progress as you get ready for hunting season. Over 55 years ago my uncle told me you need to shoot at least twice a week starting 3 to 4 months before season or shooting match's. He was really right, it...

Well sac, good question. If I go out it will be to my apple orchard carrying my Marlin 1895 cowboy. I have a very old 456192 mold that is my favorite 45/70 bullet, easy casting and drops nice fat bullets. I think that mold was originally made for...

Same process I'm using and they come out plenty clean & shiny for me. I do de-prime everything first, then in the boiling water & Lemi-Shine all in plastic coffee container with the lid snapped on. What kind of wax are you using?

Thanks guys. I've been limping this one along for 10-12 years with RTV and gaskets but its beyond that now. Its wasting maybe 70% of LBT blue so it needs to get the treatment, have had Lyman o rings for it for a lot of years.

Follow John Valentine's instructions and you will be happy. I have several sets of the collet dies and before John shared his instructions I hated them, now I love them. Two things- a good press that cams over and not much pressure to size the neck....
