Was at Midwayusa.com today, looking at Starline 7.62x25 brass. As I really did not see me ever using up 500 of them. Just for kicks I looked to check powder prices. They had Red Dot 4 lb for 84$, and a button below letting me know that if I had...

Have one, love it, easy to take down, clean, reassemble. Many of these wonderful pistols which are built like a tank had a very brittle firing pin. Now they can be a bit of a handful to figure out and replace. Mine came to me in pieces in a...

Last check I was sitting on something like 28.5 to 29 lbs of Red Dot/Promo. Barring TEOTWAWKI, major ****, I won't run out. As I ease my way through my mid 60's I am shooting and casting less. Most of what I do shoot is extremely thrifty on...

I chose some 5 years ago when I got back into shooting to try alliants Red Dot for everything. Now there are a couple of caveats in there. A I am not hunting. B I am not competing. C I am just punching holes in paper. That being said, 5...

I really like that. And you have options. Drill a bigger hole and you have a ghost ring sight. I think instead of changing the front sight I would just adjust your rear holes up or down to get you where you need to be. I think your off to...

I have one, went through the whole process of cutting down .223 brass, necking it down. Hard to get consistent necks that way IMO. I tried several lee molds but the .314 90 gr was the one that worked best for me. The truncated cone design...

I'm with winger, I would take one of your old well worn and much loved hats, and cut it down to fit the little guy. Preferably one your wife has washed several times and is getting soft and a bit shapeless.

This is my first order from Lathesmith's custom dies. I can assure you it won't be the last. The size die and matching top punches were nicely machined and finished. Hope to give them a workout soon. On second thought, those big .501 S&W 500 mag...

I have a 9mm stubb job that was done exactly as John Taylor describes above. It is a 9mm, I was able to pick it up fairly inexpensively as it had slipped when he was drilling his scope holes and shot aprox 18" to 2' to the left of where sighted...

I for one agree with the OP. And if the price was semi reasonable I'd buy one. For now I think most end up going the lever action route for that purpose. I have to admit I'd buy a Hipoint Carbine in .38s/.357 in a heartbeat. Ugly or not.

I think he would also do .35-30-30 which will be my choice once I get around to packing my WWII era Win 94 up for shipping. Lets you use existing .30-30 brass, fire form, then reload. Dies are however probably more expensive.
