I do prefer going with gunsmiths' recommendation in general; the other aspect being, if there are any problems there isn't 'that thing' that takes the blame.

A friend of mine fought that plastic stock in his 77/357 for a while; we both then went to the Boyds Laminate which IMO was a substantial improvement.

Very nice, but would be a shame to burn up, as they sure aren't making any more of those. :) I'd put them on a shelf in the gun 'room', would make a nice retro display. Perhaps a little wooden ctg. box, with a clear panel for viewing ... just...

I have pushed the very outer limits of ctg. length (to 0.005" repeatedly) in my 77/44, with a number of bullet shapes incl. WFN. Am posting here as a marker, when I have my data in front of me I can contribute further. Thx,

I've obtained excellent accuracy with Blue Dot only by going to .357Mag - the higher pressures are needed to get a consistent burn with that powder. Like going from from 3-4" at 50 yds, to 0.75" at same distance (w/ scoped rifle).

RE: 92S; I bought four of them in the last offering; condition comparable to my four S&W M64 police trade-ins - some good, some worn - but all were very smooth & quite a good value. This Euro model has the heel mag release; so for extra mags,...

Not quite a "pistol" boolit, but ordered this small rifle bullet (NOE 311-122-FN-J4 4 cavity GC) for a plinking load (and to get my daughter moving from the 10/22 to the 308 bolt action). My plan is to use it exclusively as a subsonic load:...

I remember seeing those modest integral locks with chest freezers, do they still do that? (My small 7cu.ft chest freezer doesn't have one.) Would be cool to do a quality security retrofit with a system like that, with a better lock mechanism &...
