I've had difficulties trying to estimate alloys. I ran across this on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Y0raK6_Vbk What do the knowledgeable people here have to think of this? My OS is Linux so the alloy calculators for windows don't...

If I were shooting jacketed bullets at near maximum charges I would indeed seat the bullet a few thousands back from the lands. Using a relatively soft alloy and a very rare load at +1,800 fps It is my belief there is very little danger in seating...

Thanks Kent. I'll get to it, seems like getting out to the range is always the hold up for us in our interests. Always big fun when I finally get to it. Gp

As others have problems and concerns with the Noe nose sizing bushings I'm going to say some of the folks I have very much respect for and value the opinions of don't care for the idea of nose sizing. I'm going to post my opinion. I powder coat 95%...

Dnepr: Oldest joke in the world, I know. If you're facing a charging sow with a 410 single shot, make sure you're wearing some bells. That way when search and rescue find the bells in bear scat they can all go home. Gp

Froogal: You could use the Lee bulge buster to size the ones already loaded. It doesn't seem like a good idea at first but I've used it with no problems. That is what the system is designed to do. Gp

Between nose sizing and body sizing Noe bushings I own fifty three. If they didn't work well for me, I wouldn't have bought more than a couple. I'm a big fan of Noe moulds and tooling. Gp

CUE: Though likely a safe load at 44gr. (I've seen data with some loads up to 50gr. B.D.) For your shoulders sake you might start in the mid to upper 30s . Data for the Hammerhead slugs at 490gr. B.D. @ 40gr. 1550 fps. 2 3/4 Cheddite hull. Gp

Cue: SBS gives good advice on using a slower powder for your slug loads. With Blue Dot (My favorite) Longshot or even as slow as Steel your shoulder will likely give out before you reach dangerous pressures. On the faster end Unique and even Green...

Cue: Cheddite hulls are strait wall and are the recommended hull for Hammerhead slugs. In 12ga. that's a 490gr. payload. In their data there's no HS-6 listed. I still believe your 30gr. load to be safe if not conservative from the Hodgdon data in...

I've had some success nose sizing my bullets. You need to work out a system for a positive stop so as to make each bullet the same and not encroach on the drive bands I use copper tubing cut to various lengths on top of the ram around the bullet....

As Randy says, your shoulder will give you a stopping point well before you'll stress your shotgun when firing these slugs. I've chronographed them at 1200fps with as little as 33gr. Blue Dot and have fired them with 40gr. Blue dot with out signs...

Do you have Arc fault breakers? My AC would kick the breakers every time I turned it on. The AC and the Arc fault breakers didn't play well with each other. Had the Electrician change them and all is well. Call your Electrician and ask them.

That's correct guys. I'm looking for a SCBA fill adapter. I've ordered a 6000 PSI hose that goes from tank to fill probe and I'm waiting for it to arrive to make sure the thread pattern is the same as the tanks. These adapters are all over the net...
