Give it a little thought Randy. Doesn't have to be a freebee kind of thing, I can chip in on this. Glad to see someone stepping up to help the California hunters. Not easy down there for those that can't pack up and leave. Gp

Silicone sheets work best for me. I have a couple of different kinds. One type has a very small reinforcing web inside the other doesn't. No idea how long the mats will last but thousands of bullets coated so far and no wear apparent. Gp

When you get the plate completely clean, here's how I lube the plate. Very sparingly lube the bottom of plate, top of mould with dielectric silicone grease. It does a nice job of lubing and doesn't migrate into the cavities. Gp

My least favorite (WE like all guns, right) was a 15" T/C Encore chambered in 454 Casull. It would bloody the middle finger of my shooting hand with the trigger guard every time I fired it. The second least favorite is a Remington R51. Well, first...

The basic, reoccurring problem in a lot of posts here comes down to folks mismatching components in a way that they were never intended to work. All this in the false economy of using what they have on hand. If it's a Euro hull, use a Euro primer....

-I have found the BPI Slug Loading Manual #7 to be a little disappointing. While it does contain some loads that are not all BPI products, it doesn't contain any that don't require some. Fair enough I guess, it is their publication. Most of us here...

Just a question, not any sort of a put down. Why do you insist 0n using these tapered hulls? They aren't meant for slugs. Gp

Pretty well covered above. The two ways I know of sizing shotgun brass are either some sort of push in, push out sizing ring, Lee, Mec, PW Hornady etc. or the collet style like the Mec Super Sizer. The Super Sizer is a great tool. Gp

Although Lee gives load data for slugs in the tapered hulls like the old style Winchester AA's you won't find factory slugs loaded in tapered hulls. Strait sided hulls and appropriate wads are what is needed for slugs. Save the tapered hulls for...
