We have very long conversations with family and friends several times a week. I would not want to do that with a cell phone just for discomfort reasons. Not a speakerphone fan either but we use it for family calls.

Do you have a lathe? I don’t see much thread left on there. If you have access to a lathe I would use a piece of scrap and turn and thread to the dimensions you described and see if it will fit. Another thing to try is making a casting of the...

Most major bullet manfactures are using zinc core jacketed bullets in lead free ammo. They are using lead free primers. I would guess it easier to swage zinc to form good bullets than cast . It may be quite a chore for the swage reloaded to aware...

Yes, the 1911 firing pin is an inertia device. If there are brass shavings present the inertia can drive the pin through the hole and it can get stuck on the shavings. All that’s required is to ease the sharp corner of the fp hole; very little...

Agreed, tdc is tdc. When adjusting cam over should be a gentle bump. Hard cam over adds nothing but major stress on the press frame. It occurs at the point of maximum leverage so it can be difficult to appreciate how much pressure is created.

Just remember that the temperature of the mold is controlled by the pace at which you cast much more than the temperature of the melt. Of course, the melt/pot temperature limits the mold temperature but as long as the pot is hot enough your pace...

Chamfering the firing pin hole in the breechface is a common mod on well prepped 1911s. I’ve had brass shaved on them without the chamfer. It can cause the firing pin to get stuck in the forward position which can cause slam firing.
