Ben has said BLL should pour like "coke from a bottle". I've only made BLL with the lee alox, but some bottles of alox were dryish compared to others, so i just added a bit of extra solvent after mixing the jlw and alox untill it "poured right"...

Don't know about the groove dia. I just hope it wasn't a misprint on the twist rate on their web site since the 16 1/2" version still showed the 1/38 twist. Since it was listed under their new case hardened model though, i'm hoping the 16" twist...

The problem that glares at me is the differences in lube requirements between black powder and smokeless loads. One lube will not satisfy both needs. A black powder lube has to keep the fouling soft for the next shot. A lube for smokeless powder...

I tumble lube, then size before they dry. Then i give it 2 more coats letting it dry between coats for rifle shooting. It works out to about 3 coats, as it doesn't all come off in the sizer, but i'm only sizing down about a thou. For handgun i...

I was browsing the Henry site and noticed the new color case hardened Big Boy levers. The 16.5" bbl. still has the 1/38 twist in .44 mag., but the 20" carbine version has a 1/16". This was only in the color case models as the the regular brass...

Likely that the marks you see are from the towel or whatever you're dropping the boolits on.

How does the shot cycle and accuracy of your 350 compare to your 127? BTW, do you run into many snakes there night hunting in your area?

I know how to put mildots to good use but, i prefer a duplex for general hunting. If you can judge range or use a rangefinder, it's easy enough, with a bit of practice with your rifle and load, to quickly judge hold over with the duplex for general...

I agree with TC Louis. Use the faster load for a flatter hunting trajectory. I'd check the accuracy of both loads at 100 yds. first though.

I have zero experience with the 375, BUT.... with the 4895, anything below about 80% case fill i'd use a dacron filler. I had hangfires in both winter and summer with that powder when working up reduced cast loads in the 35 whelen. When i put...

:veryconfuYep, seems like a new one to check out every other day lately lol. Good times to get into airgunning. I've been eyeing the big bores again too(357 to 50 cal.). I like the idea of shooting big roundballs with nothing but air!

That's right and Ben's tl lube is BLL made with Johnson's liquid wax. Recluse's uses the Johnsons paste wax. Forrest r that's some very fine cast boolit "speed" shooting, especially in a rifle you haven't even finished bedding yet....nice indeed!

I have a Bond Arms derringer 3" bbl. 45/410. The best boolit i've found for it is the Lee 300 gr. .454" .45 cal. hollow base minnie ball. The base flares out enough on firing to seal the bore from blow by better than anything i've used. I use...

Those are the very two i'm choosing between for now if i decide to go pc this summer. More shots on the gauntlet, but i do like the weight on the urban for carrying while hunting. That was a good side by side review, thanks for posting the link.
