    As the drawing in Mr Dorseys article shows, the sear spring on the 788 is used as the trigger return spring. The modification he described is not hard to perform; I have done it on several 788s and a 582 and can be done with a drill press.

    Rancher 1913 Could the pot used to melt the zinc have been made of aluminum? I use an aluminum skillet to melt clip on wheel weights ( I know it’s dangerous) but zinc requires more heat so aluminum might fail.

    I have had a tough time with 7.62 mg fired brass. I was using rockchucker and imperial and it was difficult. Must’ve been very large chamber or something. I wound up using STP as lube (nasty). Went to Redding ultra mag and much improvement.
