W748, dude. I had the gas system fully operating at 14 grains with a 70 grain boolit. 15.5 has given best accuracy so far. Its in the Cast Bullet Handbook, but with lighter boolits. I had to interpret, so use your own mind for it if heavy boolits...

I too use the Lee Universal Expander(flare tool, really) fit with an NOE expander plug. My brass is sized/decapped on a single stage, so this die is in station one on my Dillon 550. It is set so there is just a slight bell or else the brass hangs up...

been shooting the Lee 277-135RF in 270 sized 280. Ive collected the Lyman molds and they were ok, Lee shot better. Just got around to casting and loading up the RCBS 150 grain mold with 10 grains of Red Dot. Ill report back Monday evening with a...

Im running cast in my AR 15's with 748. 15.5 grains is giving good accuracy at around 1900-2000 fps with an MP 227-75 boolit sized at .225 lubed with Lyman Orange Magic and gas checked. Good, fun, easy plinking load for 1/7 twist barrels. Getting...

Getting them up to pressure sometimes helps obturation reducing any leading. These are powdercoated rounds right?

Thats some pretty hard lead you got there. Its my thought you don't need lead that hard. I get by with ww water dropped sized 358 with Lyman Orange Magic on top of 2.8 grains of Red Dot. This with the Elco boolit from NOE.

Picked up a used DPMS Panther with a fixed carry handle upper and a Magpul fore end with case, sling, and mag for $430 with tax. It was never shot and still had the tags buried in the case from new. Im happy with PSA and DPMS for plinking.

I have been seriously looking at the Howa mini action 223 rifles. They can come with a heavier profile barrel and decent glass for around 500. The action is perfectly scaled to the 223 with a short throw and is mag fed.

I am the same as you with rifle brass. It gets fully prepped before hitting the Dillon. I haven't really seen anyone shoving dirty brass onto a press, but to each their own. I check powder weight every 20 rounds or so for the first 100, then top off...

you can find values through the Blue Book of Gun Values and recent sales on Gunbroker. You might find that if you ask a little less and offer them on sites you are members of like this, they might sell faster. Try some on both. Get one of your...

Decapped/sized 250 .223 cases then mounted my new to me Dillon Super Swage 600 and swaged the primer pockets. This thing is the cats meow. No noise and almost no effort.

Today I set up a make shift casting station in the garage until I can clear the rickety bench in there that was left by the previous owners. I cast up 200 RCBS 270-150's, around 600 358-147 Elco's, and 500 227-75 Nato boolits. It was 65 degrees here...

Pull a seated boolit from a loaded round. Measure the base diameter. I bet its getting swaged down by the brass case not being opened up enough.

Wow. Are the sights aligned? I know it might sound like a dumb statement. Have you shot this gun before and if so, where were the shots landing on the target? Does it have non standard sights? Nevermind, I went back and read the first post.

I scrub the chamber and clean the action to keep feeding and ejection functioning. The barrel gets a couple wet patches and then a dry patch. Two more wet patches then dry patches till they come out clean. No scrubbing until accuracy falls off. I...
