Thanks gents! Sounds like its gonna be a good candidate for a foray into revolvers! Thanks Guesser, the sight regulation with 158 grain boolits is great to know. The Elco mold I have drops a HP around 152 grains so should be close enough....

Just like the title says, anybody got one of these? My grandfather had one and I offered my grandmother $400 for it. She took a couple of weeks to think about it and said I could buy it if I still wanted it. I don't take things from family members...

I believe NOE picked up some of the RanchDog designs. Give them a looksee. They will also cut a mold to the diameter you want with your ally factored in.

I use the Lyman Universal. It can be had as a manual crank or as a drill crank. It is accurate and it uses carbide cutters that last. I bought a Lyman hand tool with carbide chamfer and deburring bits that I chuck in my drill. It all works pretty...

Id wait for the battery to go dead. Then Id get either a rare earth magnet and attach it to a string and pull it up or one of those extendable arms with a magnetic tip that mechanics use.

NOE and Accurate both stock slick sided molds. I believe NOE calls them HTC molds and both sites have design pictures with measurements. As to the other thoughts I have never powder coated but have done a lot of research on the subject. There have...

I bought a Savage B22 FVSR, the newer version of the Mark II. It has a coned breach, a 16 in threaded bull barrel, pic rail, sling studs, a much stiffer stock, and a rotary mag. All for around $300 out the door. I added an Apache trigger kit for a...

From the quick research I did over at thefiringline, the diameter of the 416 Rigby would leave very little die body left for a standard 7/8in universal decapping die. I don't understand that one with RCBS offering 7/8in die sets. One guys solution...

How do you like the Fiocchi primers? I only use CCI 500 SPP. Ive used the equivalent in Federal, but for some reason I hate their sideways storage containers. CCI is usually $145 to $155 per 5000. 15000 at $268 might make me switch.

Keep in mind that you will have to sight in the scope every time you remove and reattach the barrel because it won't be attached in exactly the same way with the exact same tension on the barrel nut. It could be more or less on but not perfect. It...

You're on the right track, you've reduced the leading. All trial and error and it can be frustrating, but it you keep at it, you'll get there and the next pistol or rifle or caliber will be all the easier for your learning and struggles on this one.

Seat a 357 sized boolit with the TC die. Take a sharpie marker and color in the case and boolit. Chamber it from the magazine, don't be gentle about it, and then eject it. The look for spots of the sharpie missing and determine where it is hanging...

Next step is to scrub that barrel slick clean. I would probably get a tight fitting jag and wipe some JB bore paste on 10 patches and run each through the barrel. The JB bore paste is used to smooth out tooling marks. Do a little at a time, you cant...
