Thanks guys. This is what I thought. I can full length size brass and decap on the single stage as I don't have a conversion for the 550 anyway. I just like sitting on the couch sometimes doing my thing with the 310 tool and listening to the lady of...

I have recently purchased a 38 Special revolver and have a 310 tool for my 270 Win. I know that the 310 tool does not full length size rifle brass, but how about straight wall pistol brass? Or do they just resize the case mouth? Will I have to...

That stuff is for the birds. Nobody has a right to recklessly endanger others health or property in anything less than a life or death situation. My gripes are a lot less than that here in St. Louis. I just want people to use turn signals here. Its...

They all do! They are all fun! As for ballistics for the purpose, I haven't really done that. I kind of pick and choose them to fill voids, imaginary or real.

Am I the only one that just throws the new stick in and runs with it? Lube colors mix for a hundred or so but clears up after that. Lol

I actually just ran into the same issue. Im new to reloading 38 special and found all my brass is below the trim to length. Found the shortest of a hundred cases and stuck it in the trimmer to set the cut length. The rest of the cases were barely...

I learned that starting to cast and load for a second caliber is not nearly as hard as the first one was. The third was even easier. And the third was for a rifle! I found the beauty of old Lyman/Ideal molds. Discovered the 310 tool with the...

Buy it and buy it now. The 4x4's from the 70's and 80's are getting hot. 5 years ago, you could've bought a good no rust K5 Blazer for 5k. They are 15 to 20k now. Buy it, fix anything that needs fixing and paint it sometime. You'll have a nice...

60 rounds, no leading down the barrel. A little lead/lube splatter on the frame to the left of the forcing cone. Pretty accurate soft shooting pistol! It prints to poa with 150ish grain boolit and 3.1 grains of Red Dot. The frame is a little large...

I'm making my own gas checks with pop can aluminum, but lubing conventionally. So far 1 ply and 2 ply have given the same results, but I haven't pushed harder than 1650 fps or so in my 270 win.

Agree with Walks, JB Bore Paste. Kinda depends on the rifle too. CZ's are hand lapped cold hammer forged barrels. I would hope they would be good for cast out of the box. That being said, I have a Winchester M70 that saw about 50 rounds of jacketed....

Well, called 5 shops this morning in the area plus Cabelas and Bass Pro and no one has a 38 Special taper crimp die. Resorted to Amazon. Should be here Friday. The RCBS die was on sale so I ordered that one.

Thanks BedBug!! Mine was born in 1948 according to ProofHouse. Walks, I did not trim the brass. I have never trimmed pistol brass before, all my experience in pistols has been 9mm and 380. I will definitely look at it when I pull the rounds down...

Im not using overly large boolits, they are sized at .358. I am going to try the taper crimp die first and if no joy, try the FCD. Problem is, I am sure I need .358 sized boolits for this pistol and do not want the FCD to swage the boolits down any...

Well here she is! Having trouble with my reloads tho. They won't chamber. It is not a crimp groove boolit, its the Elco from NOE. Trying to remove the bell from the case mouth, they became roll crimped causing a bulge. I think I need a taper crimp...

I currently live in an apartment and have a Lyman single stage, a Star lubesizer, and a Dillon 550c mounted on it. It is a triangle top bench that is less than 3 feet wide. As long as you only do 3 or 4 calibers, all ancillary equipment can be...
