You may want to test fire some 22 LR in it before you proceed. Many times shorts were fired with corrosive ammo and the chamber has a slight ring in it. When firing a long or LR, they swell and stick. Ask me how I know.

Yep, if you really wanted to shrink the groups, rear peep and front post. I never altered my pre-64 as the buckhorns are made for minute of deer at any of the ranges. Your good as is.

The older IMR loading data handouts had a bunch of data with some of it low pressure such as using SR7625 with a 1 oz. load and 800X with a 1 1/8 oz load. I shooting for pressuresin the 5-6k range for my 1883 colt hammerless double.

CCI quiets have replaced colibri in my rifles. 15 years ago a brick of colibri was $13. When those days come back, I’ll switch back. As of now, CCI quiet is 3.27 at academy sports and for most purposes, it a way more accurate round.

Your probably observing a short stroke 73. In my group, it appears about as many Marlin 94s as 73s. A slick Marlin feels good also.

Yep, except for shotgun ( 10 gauge), these are best to give to someone just starting reloading so they can prove they can do it. When they upgrade to a press they can pass it on as well.

Glad you came to your senses. I have a 38 WCF bisley like yours with little finish remaining but the lettering is pretty sharp and readable. I love it as is. That 5K spent on restoration will buy 3 finished challenged bisleys. Just tested some...

Is this the RF ( round flat)? If so, it’s primary use was for cowboy action for lighter recoil in 38 special revolvers and to feed smooth in lever action rifles. If you water quench for hardness, you will probably loose the surface hardness...

Harry O hit the nail on the head. Simply loading 38 special cases with a hollowbase 148 wadcutters and about 2.8 grs. Bullseye mirrors Alliants old recommendation of 2.8 grains bullseye and 150 grain bullet for the 38 long colt. I shoot these in...

You will hear the term of a light 45-70 when you put a heavy bullet on your 45 colt. Often, 45-70 cast bullet shooters settle on a sweet shooting 300-350 grain bullet of which is attainable with modern 45 colt rifle shooting Ruger loads. Just my...

I really like my 1895 sporter (22” barrel, pistol grip and 2/3 magazine). I mainly shoot trapdoor velocity loads (350gr,/1300 FPS). My 1951 336 35 Remington SC ( same configuration with pistol grip, 2/3 tube and 20 or 22” barrel) simply does it...

Being able to work on a AR platform will be a plus for sales, maybe it’s biggest plus. They are already marketing a subsonic load for suppressors. I don’t think anyone will want to try the revolver platform with it but AR handguns, TC and other...

I finally just loaded my last 3 lbs, of 846 in 5.56. I bought it at the knob creek machinegunshoot for $8 per pound over 15 years ago and I believe it was from Bartlett. That was probably 3 jugs of 8lbs. It has worked just fine in my M16A1. and...

I am using 2.8 grains bullseye with that bullet and lee tuble lube. Very nice in both my Colt SAA 357 and Marlin 1894CS microgroove. Unsized this bullet is cast with wheel weight alloy and dropping into water at .358-.359. No sizing needed. 38...

I have only fired a full size 1911 in 9mm once or twice and remember it being a sweet ( low recoil) shooter. I absolutely love my new to me star 9mm BM which I believe is so appropriate sized for 9mm. It feeds the Lee TL356-125RN just fine and...

I easily shoot 1K of those with 3.0 grs. bullseye. I was using it even for cowboy action. Tumble lube smokes a wee bit indoors but other wise is easy and fast.
