Thanks for the prayers. An update about my Mom They did surgery this afternoon is on her hip. It sounds like the shoulder will not be operated on. What is going on there is a triple fracture of the humerus bone (upper arm bone) just under the...

I haven't seen anything anywhere that they changed 44 Mag. If Remlin were to change the slow twist on their 44 Mag guns, I suspect several will be sold to castboolit shooters and we'd have a dozen threads about them.

You should email or call Al at NOE to ask the status. There is no average time for an item to be back in stock. If you contact him, so he knows you want to buy one, he "may" squeeze in a batch to replenish stock if he knows one is to be sold right...

What do you have in mind, Hunting or accuracy? A heavy 265gr is sure good for hog hunting, BUT... since those marlins have that slow twist rate (1:38), a lighter boolit will tend to fly more stable. Many have reported that boolits over 240gr when...

I would answer "maybe". There are too many variables to give a solid answer. pistol or rifle? BP or smokless? Lube recipe? What oil is used in the lube? percentage of oil content in lube? and lube grooves size

My 87 yr old Mom (Ronae) tripped in her apartment yesterday, She broke her right hip as well as her shoulder, when she fell flat on her right side. She couldn't move, couldn't reach her cell phone, which was close by. She was in shock, but still...

I hope you got my point about the experiment with "your" boolits. It doesn't matter what LaserCast or Rimrock bullets will do in your rifle, because they are NOT your boolits. But it did tell you that your rifle will function with a .454 sized...

I don't have an answer to your questions, but I'm gonna guess that those details aren't as crucial when loading for 45-70 at "less than High Velocity". Now, if you are looking for great accuracy at long distances with Max loads, then I suspect you...

My thoughts are... since you have a .452 size die and "if" you have a .454 size die, it is time for you to do some accuracy testing of the two different sizes of your own cast boolits, from the same mold, cast from your own alloy, to see what your...

my cat likes to catch a bunny and play with it, til it's dead. She never eats even part of one. Most times after it's dead, she will lick/groom the dead bunny like she's prepping it for the taxidermist, LOL.

I think the Star is the best...especially for pistol boolits. but, I do prefer the Lyman 45 for Rifle boolits with GC. If I am heat-treating Rifle boolits, I use a lee style push through size die first, then Heat treat, then lube them in a Lyman...

Yep, Rocket stove is what I'd make for smelting range scrap or insulators. I'll add...I would not use one with WW, too difficult to control heat and I'd fear zinc contamination.

You are getting close to my limit... 60 per lb (usable alloy content) of COWW in the raw is my limit. I will pay the extra 40 per lb to get clean alloy and NOT have to smelt them dirty things.
