Thanks for posting. What twist rate do you shoot them in, and how do you like it? I have a Traditions Buck Skinner .50cal, in a 1/20 twist. I've never shot anything but sabots from it. It shoots 2-3" groups at 100yds. So I never really felt the need...

Anybody casting the Lee REAL in .45-250gr? What size do they drop at? Just wondering if they could be sized down to .452 and loaded into a sabot for the fast twist guns. Yes, I realize Lee makes it in .50 also. Just wondering if there may be an...

Interesting you posted about only painting the top portion of the sight. I was thinking the same thing, and wondering if it would help with sight picture and definition. Never though about using the mark as a hold over. Looking like most folks here...

I will paint it white first this time. I didn't do that and it sounds like good advice.

Yes, the fire sights are nice. A friend of mine has them on his Red Hawk. The really dangerous part is that Williams Gun Sight is less than an hour drive from me. If paint don't work, It's a toss up between these and a red dot. One thing at a...

Luckily for me I have no problem seeing the red dots, and have them on several other guns. I just don't really want one on this pistol. I understand what you're saying about black for the sight. I'll likely soot this one with a candle and try that...

The orange has worked fine over the years, but the top portion has worn off, and I was just thinking that may be part of the problem with getting a good focus on it.

I'm having a hard time focusing on my Bisley, 7 1/2" front sight. I painted it years ago with Testors orange model paint. I noticed that the top 25% of the paint has worn off. Besides being 61 years old and wearing a bi-focal, I thought that might...

Porting works. Back in the late 80's, I had a Tec-9 pistol. I bought the ported compensator for it. It had a threaded bbl, so figured why not? I shot multiple 10 rounds strings, back to back with the comp in place, and without. The difference was...

No leading at all. They are pc'd though. In addition to the TightGroup loads @ +/-900fps, I load them with 17grs, W296 and it does good with that load. But, I'm a woods walker, I really don't shoot a lot of paper. So I can't really comment on what...

Hi Doug, I was hoping you would drop in. Thanks for chiming in. As you might notice, I did not post the 'as loaded' case neck size. I did mic them but then wrote the size down wrong, and then proceeded to resize the whole batch. Oops. If I had to...

Kind of what I think. They do work well in the S&W as loaded. No leading either. Also I should mention these are light loads. TightGroup at about 900fps.

I failed to mention that I resized them in the Lee boolit sizer die and not the RCBS reloading case sizer die. This brought the case dia at the neck to exactly factory spec as compared to a Win factory .357 loaded case. I do see how this could...

Here's one for the collective. A tale of two pistols. My current method for loading .357's is to cast a Lee 140 gr pb, powder coat it and run it through my Lee sizer. They come out at .3595. Then load I them up into full length resized cases with a...
