Very true but you can't use the normally much cheaper to purchase used rifle action to do a pistol since it becomes a short barrel rifle in the eyes of the ATF. It was a reply to

M-Tecs replied to a thread 6.5 Creedmore - NOT in Factory Rifles
I will keep my 6.5 x 284's http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/2017/10/new-hornady-6-5-prc-precision-rifle-cartridge/ but I only have those in single shot match rifles. The 6.5 PRC may resolve some mag issues like the 6.5 Creedmoor does but I have...

100% machining your own action is legal, however, using a rifle action to do a handgun is not unless you get a SBR stamp.

M-Tecs replied to a thread 6.5 Creedmore - NOT in Factory Rifles
The only statement that is correct is that it is the internet. The 6.5 Creedmoor is the brain child of the partnership by Hornady Senior Ballistics Scientist, Dave Emary and Dennis DeMille, the VP of product development for Creedmoor Sports for NRA...

M-Tecs replied to a thread 6.5 Creedmore - NOT in Factory Rifles
Running the long bullets in the .260 for magazine feeding requires the bullet be seated in the donut area of the neck. This creates issues since most competitors don't want to inside neck ream. They much prefer to outside neck turn. The 6.5...

Yes it will feed the very long bullets used by the long range competitors out of a 308 length mag. With the .260 using the same long bullets the mag runs out of space.

In the early 1900's it was very common for competition shooting. It greatly reduces fouling. Most BP competitions do not allow it today. http://castboolits.gunloads.com/showthread.php?137201-Black-powder-duplex-loads

No disagreement. I love the.17 Mach 2. My favorite is a Magnum Research semi-auto with a Kidd two stage trigger, I also have the .17 Mach 2 in CZ's, Sako Quads and Contenders. That doesn't change the fact that the cartridge is almost dead. ...

That is one of the primary reasons the cartridge is on life support. Dirty chambers in a shouldered rimfire in semi-auto don't mix so chamber dimension's between manufactures vary greatly. Between the case splits and slam fires ammo manufactures...

Like most long range rifle competitors I mostly load on a progressive. We all have no problem holding 1/2 MOA out to a 1,000 yards with a progressive. To produce extremely accurate ammo the same steps have to be followed. Press type makes very...
