Last week, I picked up a CZ 457 Varmint MTR. The MTR stands for match target rifle. I spent a little time mounting a Vortex Crossfire II 6X18 on it and got it ready for the range. Then my wife and the weather got in the way for a few days. I...

I love the feel and balance of single action revolvers in my hand and how they point. Right up until I pull the trigger and the pain starts when the trigger guard bites my knuckles.

I, somehow, managed to come home with a Ruger 10/22 with a walnut stock. Just your standard blued steel and wood rifle. Nothing particularly special about it. I have no plans for "upgrades" to it. I just plan to shoot it for fun. It came with one...

I love a good rifle in 30-06. It is my go to cartridge for any game larger than coyote. Those model 70 Winchesters were awesome rifles.

I would suggest you run your standard primer load over a chronograph and try to match the velocity using magnum pistol primers. If 3.8 grains of Bullseye works for you when using standard primers, drop your powder charge a couple of tenths when...

I can't wear gloves and cast. I am too clumsy with gloves on(think dropping the mold on a concrete floor). I am just very careful where my hands are when I cast.

This^^^^^^^ I have never had an issue with the cases missing the dies when the indexing rod was properly adjusted. There are videos on Lee's web site and on Youtube showing how to do it easily.

I enjoy shooting my revolvers and my semi-autos both. It took me a while to adjust, but now I can shoot my semi-autos just as accurately as my revolvers. By getting better with my semi-autos, I also got better with my revolvers. Win win as it were....

I know about tinnitus. I have had it for over forty years now. You do get used to it and learn to ignore it after a while, but it never goes away. I use plugs and muffs whenever I shoot unless hunting. I don't want it to get worse or lose what...

I use Hornady One Shot spray lube. I have never had a stuck or difficult case while resizing while using it. It also cleans easily by tumbling for just a few minutes.

No single shot rifles allowed in factory class. Rifles must be fed from a magazine. Either box or tubular is fine. My old Remington model 510 is out.

I have a stock of top quality match grade ammo. The two CZ rifles I already own like it, as well as every other rifle I have tried it in. My thoughts about the 10-22 rifles. While an auto loader can be a lot of fun to shoot, the odds of getting...

tazman replied to a thread 357446 bullet mold?? in Cast Boolits
Not to worry. Most of the current mold makers provide clones of the most popular Lyman molds. NOE makes a very good mold and has clones for the boolits mentioned so far. They tend to be a little more expensive but they are superb for casting.
