If you are looking for help to stop purchasing guns, you may have come to the wrong place. We are some of the worst enablers in the universe when it comes to buying guns. Personally, I would suggest you purchase as many and a varied guns as you can...

tazman replied to a thread Neck size .300 Savage in Cast Boolits
You could also do it the old fashioned way. Back in the days before specialty dies we would simply unscrew the sizing die a little bit so that it didn't contact the case body and sized only the neck portion. This still works. Collet dies are nice...

I assume the rust impinges on the bore at least a little causing an imperfect crown. Or is it inside the bore at the muzzle? If it is the former, getting the barrel re-crowned would probably be best. For the second, I have no good idea or...

A couple of years ago, I picked up a Remington 700 long action that I used to do something similar. I just used a different caliber/cartridge. Yours is somewhat prettier than mine.

From my experience with many different 223s is with cast bullet weights from 50-60 grains 4227 is a outstanding powder. I have seen many many 3 shot groups around 1 at 100 yards out of a couple different rifles

tazman replied to a thread Cast 9MM keyholing in Cast Boolits
If a particular boolit design needs to have everything perfect all the time in order to work properly, why not go to a different design that has proven to work in many different guns without all the hassle and experimenting? Some folks want results...

Take your time and let them wait for you. If you get everything loaded up, you will have to go shooting before you can load again.

Those old model 60 S&W revolvers are good guns. I have one in 38special that sports at 3 inch barrel and adjustable sights. I like the idea of DAO for some carry situations but not all.

How long has it been since the boolits were cast? The longer you wait, the harder it will be.

I hadn't thought of using a tool bag. That opens up things considerably. I have some time this afternoon. I think I will go to a couple of large hardware stores and see what they have.

I have used the 102 gr round nose in my 9mm with good results. I don't have one now since it wasn't any better than other options. You might even try the 95 grain RF mold from Lee. I use it in my 9mm as well. It makes a great plinking load and...

I took both revolvers to the range today and gave them a workout. The model 13 performed exactly like you would expect a S&W K frame to perform. !58 grain boolits shot to point of aim and good groups. The model 34 was a little bit of a surprise. I...

tazman replied to a thread flat or bevel base. in Cast Boolits
Some people have differences in the way they like them. The bevel base tend to load into cases easier. The plain base have a reputation for being more accurate. I have never noticed much difference in accuracy myself.
