I don't own a Glock so can't comment on that particular weapon. I do own several different 9mm handguns and can comment generally on the cartridge. My 9mm weapons are Beretta, Taurus, Springfield Armory, and S&W. I always start with a run of...

That would depend on the sources an individual has when he/she is trying to make a decision on a cartridge to use for whatever the use might be. I some circumstances, I am sure it happens. In others not at all since there will be other cartridges...

I did photography back in the day and still do it now. Just use different equipment. I still use the aperture adjustments to effect changes in the final image with my very nice digital cameras. I wasn't aware there were adjustable apertures...

Everyone's situation is unique. Lots the details are different. That is why I only make generalized suggestions about this topic. That said, certain rules seem to apply in the majority of cases. The conditions at the factory I worked at were...

I first ran into Red Dot as shotgun powder. I believe that was what it was designed for. That said, it works quite well as a pistol powder. Many use it for cast rifle as well.

Larry-- It sounds as if some people are trying to set up things with supposition, so they can claim your results are wrong or at least not realistic. I will wait for the results and see what turns up. I have seen tests you have run before and I...

I always thought of my poor eyesight as a handicap. In this case it may well turn out to be an advantage. I will wait a while before I determine which it is for certain.

I think it used to be, but not now. 30-06 gets mentioned but not promoted like the smaller calibers do these days. Anyone who recently took up centerfire rifle shooting/hunting has mostly been exposed to the smaller than .30 calibers as being able...

For most medium to large game here in the USA, there is no single cartridge that is head and shoulders better than another. You have lots of choices, so what are you going to base your choice on? The average hunter buys an adequate rifle and picks...

One of the draws of the 30-06 is it presents the shooter with just about as much recoil in a standard hunting rifle as an average shooter can absorb fairly easily. If you go with a more powerful cartridge, you get into unpleasant recoil levels. If...

Outpost75 is correct. I have loaded wadcutters in this manner and it did improve accuracy in my revolvers. I sized the boolits for a snug fit in the throats and had to press the cartridges into the cylinder. Not a hard push, but they don't just fall...

If you look back at the popularity of rifle cartridges, you will notice that the ones that have been military cartridges have a popularity with hunters that exceeds that of most others. The 30-40 Krag may be most notable exception to this. 30-06,...

That is all very true as long as you only use one eye. I shoot with both eyes open and am looking through two different lenses when looking at my target and sights. My aiming eye is only able to focus to the distance of the sights. My other eye can...

I tend to look at newer Remington products with suspicion. Way too many complaints about quality. The products they were making back in the 70s through the 90s were very good. You knew what you were getting when you bought from them. Still a lot...

+1 for the hickory hammer handle. I use the ones that are made for the 2 and 3 pound hammers. Enough weight to cut cleanly and they last for years. I have worn 3 of them out over the decades.

I didn't realize just how heavy that revolver is! I just looked at the specs from the S&W web site. Just under 61 ounces for a 6 inch barrel is a lot of handgun. You would get a workout just carrying it around.

If you have a set of glasses that are held together with screws, you could actually take one lens out check the sight picture. If you are right eye dominant and are nearsighted, remove the right lens and you should be able to see the target with...

If you have a hot plate to heat your mold, put a few of them on the hot plate to dry while you cast. It will only take a few minutes to dry them. Just remember to handle the hot ones with pliers or tongs.

I realize that many people thrive on handguns with lots of recoil. I used to think I was one of them. That said, a 500 Smith and Wesson and low power loads do not really belong in the same sentence. I simply cannot consider a 325 grain boolit...
