I own an SA Range Officer in 9mm and it shoots as accurately as any revolver or target pistol I own and I have some very nice ones. Mine is the stainless version and has the target sights.

I just checked the Lucky Gunner site. They have some new results posted for Winchester Ranger T series 45ACP 230 grain JHP ammo that is really impressive. !4" penetration with expansion of 1"(yes that is one inch). Nobody has any in stock that I...

That isn't being contrary. Those are the first requirements of any defensive load. If the load doesn't work like you stated, it isn't a good load. The expansion is a secondary consideration. That said, anything that helps the performance of a...

All true. Critters tend to get hit with a single shot, though where humans tend to get hit multiple times. Reactions are different. A critter will bolt making follow up shot difficult if not impossible. Humans tend to freeze for a short time due...

That is certainly a lot of penetration. I would probably get somewhat less with the load I am using. Lighter weight but same velocity. Given your caveat for feeding, I don't see a drawback either. Being from a Dem controlled state, I am just...

There is a corollary there with the 69 grain Matchking and the 65 grain Gameking for 22 caliber rifles. I get nearly identical groups in my 223 rifles with those two.

I have my 45acp pistols loaded with 200 grain boolits(Lyman 452460) at around 800-850fps. These feed perfectly in my handguns and should work nicely.

Personally, I like the idea of the target having holes in front and back. In the case where I would be using my handgun in my own home, I don't have any concerns about where the handgun bullets go after passing through the target. I am not in a...

With some of the FMJ ammo in common calibers, you get too much penetration according to the tests. The expanding bullet helps stop that aspect as well as inflicting more damage. The FBI prefers the bullet to stop inside the person shot.

I have needed to clean rust from molds a couple of times. I use Birchwood-Casey Blue & Rust Remover. Cost is low since you only buy a small bottle. I use a cue tip and wipe it on. The results are immediate and thorough. Just make sure to was it...

Always nice to see a revolver in use. The model 19 is one of my favorites. I agree with the question about all the courses of fire being at such short distances. I know many, if not most, shooting scenarios take place at relatively short distances,...

As long as you are not using maximum powder charges, substituting magnum primers for standard will not hurt anything. A few years ago, when primers were hard to find, I used magnum primers in 38 special, 9mm, and 45 acp with no issues at all.

I own a Savage 25 and it shoots great. I am talking about squirrels at 150 yards great. On a windless day it will do 1.25 inches at 200 yards with tailored loads.

If it looks and smells ok shoot it. Most powders last longer than you would imagine. A couple of months ago, I and some family members shot up over 300 rounds of shotgun shells I loaded somewhere around 1985. They all performed perfectly.

Would it be possible for you to post either a picture or spreadsheet of the listing you use for comparison purposes? For whatever reason, that page doesn't come through clearly for me and I can't read it.
