I bought a NIB Generac 6500 running watts for hurricane prep, and ended up giving it to my son in Florida b/c it would have used 8gals of fuel per 10hr running, I looked at my fuel storage abilities and decided it would use too much. After a...

Greetings We did a 86 jap rifle about 5 years ago to 50 Alaskan. Be prepared to work on the feeding and mag tube area especially if using slugs with long noses. But it is all do-able and you will not regret the magnificent thwap a 500 grain...

The 45-60 case is a shortened 45-70 case length being around 1.89 inches. We have an original and a repro and they both will not chamber a 45-70 case but 1.9 inch cases will. But we trim them to 1.89 and happily launch 300-350 PB slugs at all sorts...

Good morning Hunting / plinking with "wasp shaped" blown out brass is very do-able and affordable. We have used 45-90 brass blown out to 50-100 for some time in our "Big 50 " single shot rifle. All the shooting is done with 2F so no dramatic...

Buy 2-4 boxes of factory shells to 1) accumulate hulls and 2) figure out if reloading for the 410 is a thing you want to do. I bought a MEC 600 JR many years ago and load 3" shells for my 410s, which I shoot a lot of. I use #9 shot in 410 and 28...

    1) Have you shot the revolver? 2) If you shot it--did accuracy or performance suffer in some manner? 3) If the cylinder clocking is as you describe it--and it is unpleasing to you--don't purchase it.

I have never tried this trick, and I load both calibers. I also have Starline brass readily available in 44/40 WCF, which may not be the case in Oz. The 44/40 WCF case at the base end has .009"-.010" more diametric clearance than does the 44...

My 7 1/2" SBH is set up for the 310 over 17.0gr 2400 if my memory serves me correctly, the load clocks 1180 - 1200 over a chrony but the rear sight would not go down far enough to sight the gun in with that load. I sanded down the sight blade until...

The Lee C430-310-RF is arguably the best heavy for caliber boolit you could use for deer, and a mix of 50/50+2% is arguably the best alloy for a hunting boolit for use in a revolver, this alloy takes to Ruger rifling like a duck to water, it is...

What you consider sloppy may not be at all. Rugers are built with enough slack that when they are fired, the forcing cone can easily move the cylinder to be more in line with the bore, which works fairly well, and keeps the guns affordable. ...

I was thinking about balling the green meal and then grating them before loading them into the compression die. Will try that if nothing else works.

It is incredibly fine. I use 13 lbs of 3/4 ID copper pipe 1 inch long filled with lead, throw everything in without pregrinding for 24 yours. It is fine enough that it looks as if it has some of the characteristics of a liquid.

The reamer will not cut even sized holes, it is actually very dependent on the hardness of the cylinder itself, and with Ruger there are a LOT of variations. In fact, the only real constant thing I can truthfully say after reaming and honing a...

Interesting. I live in Houston and it is consistently humid here so I will try that too. One test I am going to run is to put an oz in a ziplock baggie, add water, smush it up and let it sit for a day so that the water is distributed to all the...

I am using Fly's 2" die and compressing to supposedly 1800 psi. The Hario has been adjusted to be centered but still nothing useful. I use 1 oz batches which produces nice 1/4 " pucks.

My knee replacement three years ago eliminated the problems with that joint, but there were other hinges that complained regularly until I began taking 400 mg of Hyaluronic Acid daily, which helped a bunch. I will also look into Glucosamine.
