Tinhorn, Thank you for being receptive and interested enough to learn about this hobby. I just hope that the "Old Guys" that mentored me would feel like I was doing my part to pass on the knowledge that they passed on to me.

I don't have any experience with such a large mould. But what I use is a carpenters pencil. Since you already have a buildup, you need to remove it. Heat the mould in the lead until it's so hot that the lead melts and then wipe it clean. I...

Well, I can’t say Whether I agree or disagree or with your assessment. Mine was just ordered today and should be here next week. I bought mine with the sole intention of processing pistol brass. 9 mm, 9 mm Makarov, and 38 special. And probably 556...

I don't consider it an addiction. A lifestyle, a passion, life's work, but not an addiction. The only difference between being into guns and technology is that guns no longer are a driving force in our economy, like they were for the 3 centuries...

So, many folks think trimming revolver brass is a waste of time and effort. But what about consistency in the length and then crimp. If you don't trim, do you cull out the long brass? Or is your crimp so light that it will allow for the...

Thanks Rainier. I've worked with 2400 in the past and loved it. It's tough to find though. 4227 isn't my go to by any means but I bought a pound 5 years ago when things were scarce so I figure I might as well try it. Now that...

Well I have acquired a copy of the RCBS 38-150-SWC, which correlates to the lee 358-140-swc in that the amount of bullet below the crimp groove is almost identicle. I've worked loads up (for the Lee 358-140-SWC) using the RCBS data going all...

Considering I've never taken a bear, and I don't feel burdened by carrying a handgun (I carry 24/7), I'd feel comfortable with a 44 special +P or starting 44 magnum load. For me it'd be a short barrel super blackhawk as that's what I have. ...
