    I dont think the Heritage has a transfer bar. It has a safety notch, and a manual safety that blocks the hammer.

    I use MMO in a few of the padlocks I have that see constant weather. A few drops, a few times a year, and they always are free and smooth. I've never lubed a gun with it... But i might give it a go sometime.

    That aint a bad idea. Probably work if I had a roaring fire, I've seen the pipe get red hot OUTSIDE the building. Drive me out though when its that hot.
