I've dropped the Dawn in favor of automotive wash and wax. This leaves a film that keeps the super clean brass from tarnishing as quickly.

This is pretty much where I am at. I've used most of the trimmers on the market and like the Wilson the best. Once you develop a technique its just as fast as the other rotary trimmers. I liked the universal case holder on the Lyman but the...

They were pretty common. I doubt that they will get much attention from collectors. I value mine because it belonged to my Grandfather who got me into reloading and casting. They do have a certain "cool" factor!

I have what I call my "working batch" of ammo for my handguns. This is a batch of a few (or several) thousand cases that I load with a proven favorite load. I try to keep enough cast bullets on hand to load these "working batches" as soon an they...

Thanks for the suggestions for what to do with backstraps. Mr Smale, I like venison roasts, stew, steaks and burger. That, provided it's cooked very done, the same as I like beef. I don't like pink, or juicy meat. I like venison when it's...

Ask at tire stores, mechanic shops, wrecking yards, scrap yards, ect. The smaller tire stores and scrap yards have been more productive for me. Don't laugh, but if you get your exercise from walking, running or riding a bike look along the curbs at...

I just received my 2nd new Accurate mold. It a 9mm, a 35-125C 4 cavity aluminum mold. Like the other one, its beautifully made. The quoted turn around time of 3 weeks was only a little over 1 week.

I once had an apache model nylon 66 that was unfired. I bought it off a friend that bought it new. It was about 2 weeks before I fired it. I had a colt junior in 25 acp that was unfired too, about a day or so. Both jammed and I traded them...

Thanks for the replies. Everyone says backstraps are the best but I've never liked them. I don't like the texture mostly. I wouldn't say they are gamey or wild tasting, that's words I'd reserve for bad deer meat. The neck roast I made, tasted...

Thanks for the update. I've never tried one, but I'd like to have a 444 marlin. Kind of a middle ground between the 44 mag and the 45/70. Course I'd like a marlin 1894 too. I ain't hard to please long as it has a lever on it's belly.
