No, I'm not unhappy. I've never liked real light triggers. Long as it's crisp.

Well I ended up buying an older Savage 110 today. It has a checkered birch stock, no accutrigger, and is in 30-06 caliber. For whatever reason it just felt right, looked right, and the price was right. Got some dings on the stock but nothing...

I personally don't agree with banking of pifs. In theory it wouldn't cause a problem, but in practice it's the end of a PIF string when someone uses a banked PIF.

Thanks for all the replies to this thread, it's been very interesting. I haven't ever had the chance to go on an extended hunt. I mostly hunt on the 18 acre farm. I like to ground hunt for deer, so I made a large pad to set on. It's about...

The 30-06 looks right. I've owned a couple for short periods. I am not biased from family, friends, or military service. I've done a lot of reading on cartridges of all manner and not just articles in praise. The 30-06 has a certain balance that...

I have a spartan but the largest thing I've sized on it has been 30-30. I don't think it'd have any problems with 30-06 class sizing though. I've modified my press by shortening the handle about an inch. I seen a c press once that had a piece...

I figured out the crimp die is a roll crimp. If I run a piece of brass into it almost as deep as it will go it gives a normal roll crimp. Guess I was having a dense moment or something. It will not crimp the 31141 bullets however. The shoulder of...
