I had an RCBS 400 gr. SWC pb that I used to shoot when I had my SRH. I had a 2x Leupold on it and hitting clay targets @ a measured 100 yards was easy. I believe I got my load from a two book set from one of RCBS' parent companies.

I use that mold and lube also..... My Glocks that I had would shoot anything, as will my Ruger LC9s Pro. My CZ-75 SP-01 will not digest anything larger than .357..... As I made a pile of rounds before I bought the CZ I still have a LOT of the...

Never did any that heavy, but did make quite a few for a .480. The mold has to be good and hot, but you know that. I used to strive for frosted boolits, when they started to take a longer time to solidify I'd turn the heat down just a little and...

I remember when I used to get 60 pound lead ingots from Sanders lead. I had to take them to the place where my son worked and use their cutting torch to make them usable. They sure absorb the heat!

My wife's son was on the SWAT team here a few years ago before he moved to Nashville. He still stays on guard when visiting and is always watching.

$20-$25 for a transfer is a bargain. After running a small business I decided I'd never do it again just because of all the time you spend on accounting and paying taxes.

Sized & lubed some 165 gr. Ranch Dog boolits. Then I dipped them into JPW and set them out to dry. They should be ready to load in a day or two....

The PO made her throw the pills down the storm drain. I hope the feral grey cat that lives there eats them.... Weed got scattered by the wind. The policeman had a smile on his face when he asked her to ruffle her clothes to make sure there was...

And looked outside the front door. The local Police had a young lady leaning on the front bumper of his car. He looked through the left side of her car, and as I was watching he went t o the right side and found some pills in one envelope and some...

Just fill the .40 cal cases with lead and use them as boolits for a .44 mag. Makes one heck of a wadcutter if loaded base forward, and a pretty potent boolit if loaded case down. Close to pure lead is best.:Bright idea:

Tom W. replied to a thread What is it in Lead and Lead Alloys
The Babbit that I used to cast was almost that composition, but no lead at all. When I used it straight it made some beautiful but extremely hard boolits, so I made ingots of it to add to my COWW.

22 gr. of 2400 have always given me sticky extraction, or at least somewhat difficult extraction in all of the Rugers that I've fired them from, both SA and DA. 21 gr. does well. I dunno what difference one grain makes, but that has been my...

I have shared that same sentiment for years. Most LEOs view their guns as another piece of equipment on their duty belt. I include shotgun and rifle in that too. Many are sub par performers when it comes to firearms handling and qualifications.
