whooping crane is called roast beef here. we can't shoot swans though, we just raise them so the people to the south of us can shoot them. I have had swan before it is like goose. it was a draw tag in Utah.

you can get the elements and bend them around a pot. they don't become hardened and brittle like until you heat them up. a 110 stove element will melt 10-12 lbs of alloy in about 20-30 minutes.

a colder primer might do better with a 2-5 gr kicker charge of a faster powder. how far do you want to go looking for accuracy from a 30-40 Krag. personally I wouldn't spend the money for BR primers for an old bolt gun. well okay I would but it...

Another tip if you have been shooting lubed bullets most times you will need to rework your loads as pc bullets will shoot about 4% faster. Sometimes this will change the harmonics

Very good advice on the water dropping and alloy hardness. By PC' ing you can shoot softer alloys Below 2000 fps almost all my bullets are 49/49/2 alloy coww/pb/hsb Above 2000 I switch to 98/2 coww/hsb and gas checks
