Titegroup in a 45 colt is such a small amount. I messed w it one day, but velocity was all over the place. Way better off w trailboss.

¥ certain hunter from the Orofino, Idahd, ' vicinity is going to be a mite more careful what he's shooting at from now on. Out hunting elk, he suddenly grabbed his rifle and fired away. It turned out that he'd blasted a farmer's horse out from...

I PC coat then check and size and then PC coat and size one more time at .225 for my AR15 with both my 55gr BATOR and my 69gr MiHec mold bullets. I use 24gr of IMR4831 and 20.5gr of IMR 4895 for the 69gr bullet and 21gr of Hodgdon 4895 for the 55gr...

Yea its rare to find someone shooting 45-70 who does not reload them. Knew a guy who worked at a range, gave me buckets of brass. Not one 45-70 over the course of 2 years. Think found 5 45 colts. Pistol it was 9, 40 and 45. Rifles 223, steel cases,...

The rare 45AR book data I have seen tends to be a bit mild. Its always based on 50 yo thinking that only cast bullets will be used. Plus the surplus guns it was often run in. Its just such a low demand thing for much other data to be out there. ...

The Sub 2000 works in 9mm its not really enough for the 40. I had a 9 and 40, the 40 went back to the factory after a box of ammo as it got loose, you could fold it about 1/4in when locked open. Got rid of it when it came back. The bolt is really...

I bought a 80gr NOE 223 mold. Already had a 55gr. Mostly it was for subsonic, with a fixed velocity, weight is what you want. They shoot great sub and full power. Mold can cast PB or GC, PB works fine subsonic. 55gr works well in my 22 hornet. ...

Seating depth has a big effect. Books tend to say '180gr bullet' like the Lee manual. But what 180gr? I recently loaded some 450bushmaster, straight from the hodgdon site. I did not have the specific barnes 300gr listed in the data, used a hornady...

I found the NOE expanders I already have work well. Trying to go from 8mm to 44 cal wrecked a couple cases when I started out. Not found much need for sizing in use. Just tumble and load.

I tried both my cylinders in a black hawk at the shop, both fit fine. Mine was bought w ACP and 45 colt cyl, one in the shop someone lost the colt cyl as only has ACP. Was tempted, but no need, plus a bit steep considering only has the one cyl.

A bag of brass is not that much, vs screwing with pulling and everything else. Have a 200gr and 174gr mold need to try in my SKS. maybe when I get the pile of other ammo that needs done whittled down to a reasonable level.

Yow is $350 the going rate? I looked them up on gunbroker, had prices like $350, but no bids. Guess I lucked out for $100, nice clean bore. Missing a barrel band and rear swivel, but not seen where its an issue when it comes to shooting it.

I am looking into a mold for mine. Probably get a custom one. Hard to find a 452 mold 250gr and up thats not going to have a crimp groove. The FTX being used is smooth sided, a bit hard to taper crimp on top of the crimp groove. I tried some 300gr...

The Type 99s are chambered in 7.7x58 (basically .31 caliber like an Lee-Enfield or Mosin-Nagant) and is comparable to 30-06 or 308Win in effectiveness. For reloading, its easier to load for than the Type 38s as you can use trimmed down and reformed...

Depends on the gun, a carbine barrel and your exceeding 10mm pistol ballistics. And accuracy will depend, I have seen 40 pistols that were more like shotguns and others that were pretty accurate.

With new cases you can shoot 308 bullets. Once fired they will not last long sizing them up and down. Mine blows them out where a .324 bullet will drop right in. So I bought an 8mm mauser collet die, shaved a little off the bottom so it sizes the...

They are out there, but some a bit questionable. I bought one of the Bueller style for a 95 model, not really much holding it in, stays in on safe, but falls out on fire. Is going to vary widely by the rifle. My m48 I bought a timney trigger w a...
