It's not a critical fit. It only has to hold back lube, not high hydraulic fluid or oil pressure. Take it to the hardware store and get a couple, if none look exact, get a slightly smaller but fatter one. It'll stretch and fit OK.

That's about when I quit buying it. When we lived in the city, and more people came over, some would see me use 5-20 synthetic, and tell me it would tear up my guns-- So, I kept my last empty bottle of 'gun oil' and kept refilling it with 5-20...

Get a Lyman cast loading book. It has a section for 'trapdoor' loads with several of those powders using that boolit. With old powders, I load mild rather than wild, and the Lyman book will set up on the right path for that.

Hmmm,,,,, Normally, dulling out a tool isn't much of a problem. Those may be a little different though. If you have one that is sort of expendable, you might try running it across a real fine file. If you have a 'Drill Doctor', it has a diamond...

Looked for 'Savage Model 19A' Among the things that came up was this from a place selling parts for them. This is a middle band for one they want $31. for. If it was floating around,,,,, it might be left over from someone making a 'rabbit...

I like it. Its all I've ever used on a industrial sewing machine. I use it on guns too if I'm too lazy to go across the shop and get the bottle of 5-20 weight synthetic motor oil.

It is on my Gold Cup also. I'd heard John Browning did them that way so the recoil would make it torque into your hand instead of away from it. (for right handed shooters)

The modern generation sign places can make bumper stickers fairly cheap if you take them a picture of what ya want.

I had a friend like that. He'd tell me something like that and I'd tell him, "Yeah, yeah. Why don't ya just give me a nice paper cut and throw lemon juice on it".

A couple of generations of Dodge/Chrysler cars & trucks were that way. It got real interesting working on a older one that someone had replaced one or two left side studs & lug nuts to RH ones they'd broken off.

My parents were always telling me like in 'Christmas Story"--- "No kid, you'll shoot your eye out" But I can't see how it would be any different than shooting .38Spec. in a .357Mag., .44Spec. in a .44Mag.,Or .22 shorts in a LR chamber. My Dad...
