It is easy to detect if a cell phone is moving or stationary. Cell phone companies could disable the phones with a minor software change. Now. You need a state or federal law. Good luck with that.

There's no shortage of them on the WWW, to be sure. I've often wondered why these folks aren't applying themselves to endeavors more worthy of their skills, such as curing cancer or developing deep space travel technology. Instead, they spend...

I thought the argument was, 'Safe' or 'Residential Security Container'. I believe a gun-sized true Safe is beyond the financial means of most on here, or so it is for myself, so I do as best I can. Which means a Residential Security Container in my...

What's the alternative? Tuck the long guns behind the coats in the closet and the pistols in the sock drawer? WoW.

If I were to omit something, it would be the acetone before anything else. If you can get regular mineral spirits, then use that. It smells a bit stronger is all. ***, we're cleaning guns. It's supposed to smell.

There is a big difference between a whippin' and a beatin'. That is a detail lost on some folks.

Based upon the contents of this thread, I'd have to say that the overwhelming response falls into the 'not nearly often enough' category. WoW.

This ^^^ makes the most sense to me. As others have said, it's your girl and your dance and if you like the fancy dress, well, I get that. Having said that, I had a small farm with the big yard and I recently sold it because I grew tired of...

I appreciate the ability to communicate complex thinking with minimal words. I completely agree with what you said here. I hope you don't mind, but I plan to use this in the future when this discussion arises.

I used to not worry too much about cleaning barrels. Then I got a bore scope and could see the corrosion damage in those bores that looked mirror smooth with the naked eye. Gee, I wonder why I've had problems getting firearms to shoot...

A member by the user name jetsfan-24 always treated me well. I usually bought range lead or wheel weights, so I'm not sure if Ron sells soft lead or not. Might try to PM him, he's a good guy to deal with. Hope this helps.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Most of the scrapes and gouges I mentioned are mostly cosmetic. A few are kinda deep, but it's mostly 15 years of wear and tear from previous owners. As I said earlier, I think I'll paint it because I don't like...

Yeah, I know it would be faster, but enough trim for a 2,000 square foot house runs into a bit of money, plus I'll still have doors and entryways to figure out or replace. By then, it's starting to get expensive. It's all either pine or some...

I recently bought a house that is about 15 years old. The original interior trim / doorways / doors were stained and sealed with some sort to of clear finish, which I presume is polyurethane. After 15 years, there are scratches and gouges...

I imagine a big part of the problem is the same thing we deal with here, and that is people who can work in skilled labor trades are hard to find. When you do, they're REALLY busy. With the recent heat wave, those HVAC contractors are likely weeks...

I just don't eat out unless I have to. Don't have to worry about anyone messin' up the order or messin' with the food. Don't have to worry if the cashier knows how to count or if my card # is getting stolen. (It's happened to me 2x). It's cooked...
