^ Yep. I have enough rice, beans, pasta, sugar, salt, flour and canned goods to keep me and my wife for a year. If we had 2 weeks to pull the freezer down, can meat, vegi's probably longer. If we lose power and it does not come back on,...

Took my neighbor to the range 2 weeks ago, let him run 50 rounds of 9mm through the Hipoint 9mm Carbine. Ohhhhh he loved that even more than the .45acp. Till I reminded him he shot the .45acp at 25 yards, and he shot the 9mm at 20 feet. LOL...

My wife takes tylanol 3 with Codeine. Been on it for years, it is the only thing that lets her keep the fibromyalgia pain backed off. Now she works at the local Essentia call center. So she knows how to work the system. But last summer they...

Cast a few hundred each of NOE 453-200's, Accurate 40-180C's and Lee 452-255's. Cast the NOE boolits because I needed practice ammo for my carry gun, the Accurate 38WCF boolits in memory of John Kort and I have no idea why I cast the Lee 45 Colt...

I've had this 4-cavity mould sitting on the shelf for a year or three, finally ran out of 45acp ammo so it was time to see how NOE's copy of the H&G 68 works. In a word; great! I did the heat-cycle break-in process when the mould arrived but today...

Over 1400 fps I always use a gas check. That being said I suspect a round at 1200 fps that hits the right spot is just as lethal as one moving some 4-500 fps faster.

I can certainly see that certain alloys at whatever bhn can fragment on impact at a certain higher velocity. I've come to view bhn as an indication of only what that "particular" alloy can take at a "particular" speed. In other words, i heat...

BTW, the lee 200gr 35 cal. rifle boolit which was mentioned in post #2 is supposed to be the same as my noe360200 if your looking for a cheaper mould. Both are just clones of the rcbs 359200 gr. the way i understand it. I have a rcbs 359200 and...

Long time cast sinker maker. I'm a big fan of the Do-it molds. Decently priced, easy to use and quality product. My favorite is a walking type sinker that I then take to the anvil and smack with a 2 lb blacksmith hammer. Turns it into a flat...

If i had to shoot a big bear with a 200 gr. 35 cal. boolit, i'd sure be trying to nail both shoulders with one shot. Much rather have a 358009 280 gr. for that(noe360009 is the one i have).

Well i see we were posting close together....i see you've loaded cast before and probably aware of some of the things i mentioned. If it were me loading for a .358 for speed, i'd probably go with the 200 gr. noe i mentioned before. it casts...

When i referenced the boolits in my post above, those loads were worked up in a 35 whelen and not a .358. To get anywhere near those speeds of 24 to 2500 with any kind of accuracy i had to use slow for cal. powders like 4350 and slower with cast. ...

The noe 360200 usually weighs about 215gr. checked and lubed. It's a good one to try for speed with. The noe 360230 puts the smack down on white tails. I,ve pushed it to 2400fps. But usually shoot It at 2200 for woods hunting white tails. Both of...
