Good news is always so good to hear Ken. So glad to hear that for now all is going well. I am reminded of the old childrens bedtime song. "Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord my soul to keep" Sometimes just keeping it simple really...

Personally I have had very good luck with the Crossman Premier line of pellets. Some rifles do prefer the domed, or the domed Hollow Point. I have a Beeman P17 pistol that prefers pointed. My Sheridan Blue streak shoots best with the Benjamin...

Exactly so RL. Listen to your heart, listen for the whisper of the Holy Ghost. Don't give in to anything that drags you down, that encourages you not to listen to the Lord.

I'm with M T Chambers, this is IMO a perfect job for an airgun. Older Sheridan Blue/silver streak, or more modern Crossman 392 pump up. Either way you can quickly determine what will kill the bird without raising a dent in the steel. I used 2...

I have 2 pistol caliber carbines, mine are both Hipoint, a 9mm and a .40sw. Both would work very well for home defense close quarters. My wife has no trouble cutting the center out of a 2" bullseye at 20 feet with either. And in fact always...

Trigger seems to have lightened a bit on pull now after about 100 to 150 shots. Got it sighted in good at 20 yds. now about a 1/2" above the front sight. Got a nice surprise with Gamo Magnum pointed 15.42 gr. pellets indoors at about 6 yds....

I agree that .22 is a good place to start. For your mom it may be a good enough place to quit. I personally lean towards the Rugers, have a pair of Mk III's 22/45's, his and hers. 10 in mag plus one in the chamber and aim for eyeballs. It may not...

I think you have an error. You have the Lee 205 90775 listed as a 309 mold. I think that one is an 8 mm , .329 dia. mold ? ? Ben

I agree about the 13xx series. I bought a pair of 1322's some 3 years ago. I bought the shooters kits with the carbine stocks. 75$ ea seemed pretty well spent. I put a laser on one for my wife, recently put a scope mount and Red Dot on mine. ...

In my case it was a .311 that was dropping at .310. Kept at it until I got to .312 which was what I wanted for my Yugo SKS. All told less than a couple of hours. I alternated between sandpaper and 0000 steel wool to polish. With and without oil....

Got the paint in the bore down very thin now. It's grouping 5 shots right together all the way to 20 yds.(as far as i've shot it so far). Looks like this is going to be a shooter. I think i'll stop cleaning on the paint at this point and just...

Oldest one is just some 15 months as setup, has not been shot a lot. That is my wifes. The other one was our first but we used the iron sights for at least a year. It is a 20 yr old new old stock Stainless steel, black grips, bought 3 years ago. ...

Tomme boy I am sure you are correct sir. I did light both the ones I have made, and then tested with a firesteel. Even then you might want to "fuzz" up the very end a little before trying to light. Will make it light easier, faster. Less wear on...

In my youth I had a 788 in .243. Used to shoot mostly 30 grains of Dupont 3031 under a Hornady 60 gr BTHP. That load was lights out for crows out to 400. Made the mistake of letting a friend borrow it, he got busted for shining deer and lost it...

Well I never tried PC or Hitek. BLL over Ben's Red works great, I would say BLL will cover most situations until you start pushing that 1900 2000 fps mark. Over that you might want some lube in the grooves. Or 3-4 light coats very evenly...
