What kind of accuracy are you seeing? I have a 16" rifled .45acp adapter for my .30-30/ 20 ga combo. But really have never gotten it out to play with it. In theory I could test it at my local pistol range. But the rifle range says shotguns and...

Well I know from my reading over at the GBO site that many people still can't get in. This morning instead of my normal 150ish new posts, there was 56. I'm on my 3rd sip of coffee and I'm done. BLEAH Trying to have patience, worried about...

How hard are you going to push them? When I first started reading here one of the first gems I found was a general rule for gas checks. Over 1400 fps use a check. You'll get better results most of the time. I also think that over 1400 you need...

Currently running 4.5 gr under a cast 230 gr truncated cone with a nice big meplat. Tried 4 grains but the cases came back sooted up half their length, so kicked it up a notch and they stay cleaner.

10 to 13 grains of Red Dot will work. In my Handi rifle sighting in I got cloverleafs at 25, 50 and 75 yards. I pulled one a half inch up and left at 100. Operator error. One of the most accurate loads I have in any rifle/caliber combination. ...

This site is good, no question about it. But Ublock Origin and Privacy Badger makes other sites behave better also. I do get asked to turn off my blockers a lot, seldom do I do so. Very seldom.

I have to admit I found a nice looking package of 4 cree flashlights on evil bay a few years back. Dual power source, either a 3 aaa cells in a round plastic contraption, or 18650 Li-ion batterys. Well I have several of those batterys around, and...

God Bless you Richard, and may his peace rain down upon you. Getting old is hard, and I'm only 67. Still lucky in that I can still cast, load and shoot. Just not doing it as often or for as long. Still getting old is not for wussies, there is...

My normal mix is roughly 50% COWW and 50% either soft lead or range scrap with 1% tin or pewter added for fill out. But it does depend somewhat on how hard your pushing them.

A not as position sensitive in light loads. IE 6.5 grains of Red Dot, and you don't need a filler. Drop below starting loads on slow rifle powder ie 4895 and you will. B Thrifty, you can do essentially the same thing with 1/4 to 1/5 the amount of...

I have A .444marlin in a single shot handi rifle. I started at 13 grains of Red Dot which was was ok. But after 10-12 shors I could feel a flinch coming on and quit. So I did some research for .44mag loads using lighter cast, 200 and 220 gr, 6.5...
