They'll definitely appreciate the corn. Around here they tear into any new pinecones pretty hard this time of year.

You're well on your way! Good job! Try not crimping at all, your larger diameter boolits should have plenty of neck tension. Just reduce the flare to the mouth back to straight.

I understand being apprehensive the first time you do it. I was too. I wrapped electrical tape around the metal rod like a candy cane and then fit a gas check onto the end that was going into the barrel. The very least you could try, without...

45/45/10 is made with Johnson's Paste Wax...the paste wax is still available. It's the Johnson's Liquid Wax that's been discontinued. The paste wax is available at most hardware stores....Lowes, Ace Hardware, etc.

I agree with posts # 2, 4, 5. They are my first choice all options being equal. I have yet to have a problem with them. I bought a fair amount back when they were 3.00$ per hundred. Feeling pretty good about that now. Have also used...

I doubt my answer is definative. I have a Springfield Armory 1911, made mid 90's. No full length guide rod. Gun will shoot better than I can hold. Period. Lock it into a vice or a real good rest, fire 5 at whatever distance you like. Then...

About ten years ago I had a rifle that I couldn't get to shoot commercially available projectiles satisfactorily and I was getting tired of buying bullet$ that didn't work. One day a big brown truck brought me a really BIG brown box with a Lee...

Increase your powder by a few tenths. I had that same problem (with the Lee 356-120 TC) starting with the starting load of 3.8gr Bullseye. Increasing the load to 4.0gr and cleaning and lubing the pistol fixed it. It might also help some if you water...

I've always made all my own sinkers. Good place to "get rid of" questionable alloys. I'm looking for a diamond mackerel jig mold (1/3 and 1/2 ounce) if anyone has one, PM me. I haven't even found a mold maker of the type I want. I did see one...

Welcome to the site, Md2hunt! Lot's of good advise is given above. I'll try to add some more nuggets. Crank up that pot to the highest setting. Fill and dump that mold as fast as you can and don't look at your boolits until you notice that they...

Worked at a shop awhile back where someone (???) adapted a similar gun to use shop compressed air. Seem to recall some folks use scuba tanks as well.

I can't take opioids because I took them too long to manage chronic back pain and risk a very unpleasant withdrawal if I take even one or two. That didn't stop a dentist (several years ago) from prescribing 30 (!!!!) tablets after a difficult...

BLL is Ben's Liquid lube which is made with Johnson's liquid wax and alox. Lundmark liquid wax has been tried as a substitute for the "no longer" made Johnson's, but i don't know how well it works at higher rifle velocity.

^ Yep. I have enough rice, beans, pasta, sugar, salt, flour and canned goods to keep me and my wife for a year. If we had 2 weeks to pull the freezer down, can meat, vegi's probably longer. If we lose power and it does not come back on,...

Took my neighbor to the range 2 weeks ago, let him run 50 rounds of 9mm through the Hipoint 9mm Carbine. Ohhhhh he loved that even more than the .45acp. Till I reminded him he shot the .45acp at 25 yards, and he shot the 9mm at 20 feet. LOL...

I've had this 4-cavity mould sitting on the shelf for a year or three, finally ran out of 45acp ammo so it was time to see how NOE's copy of the H&G 68 works. In a word; great! I did the heat-cycle break-in process when the mould arrived but today...
