Charlie I have been waiting to hear you tell me that. Man I thought I was stubborn. Lay it all down Charlie, leave it at his feet. Leave the pride, the heartache. Let it go. We are in his service, servants if you will. He decides, we...

I agree with the round lead ball, especially in .22 or .25. 209's should have plenty of snap to send that ball flying. Cost is still likely going to be more than .22lr but it is an interesting project.

Glad you found something that's working for you. It's interesting to read about all the different lube mixes everyone uses and the their success or failures.

Sold to kywoodwrkr . I have for sale, one Argentine Model 1909, 7.65 Argentine Mauser barrel. The barrel is 22 inches long. The barrel came off of an Argentine 1909 Engineer's Carbine if I remember correctly. The bore is mirror bright...

Some might say the 12 will carry a little farther. I've shot lots of stuff with both, from Canadian Honkers down to Hungarian Partridge. The 20 will do the job, and it will do it with a little less lead, and powder. Not a big deal for a box...

I'm not a vet, but if I am out in public and see one wearing a hat I have often taken the time to walk over and thank them for their service. I was 4f when my classmates were getting drafted for Nam. I did not serve, but not because I did not...

Fast powder to go slow, slow powder to go fast. On the fast side I like light loads of Red Dot, but most of the shotgun/pistol powders in the faster burn range can be made to work. If you want more speed then look at the slower burning rifle...

Others may differ, but my TC Encore is the easiest recoling rifle i've ever shot. Full power loads from a 35 whelen are really no problem with it. Some of that may be due to the flex type synthetic stock that came on it.

Winchester must be proud of it since they're calling it a mod. 70. Good looking stock on it. I looked it up on the air gun pro site.

You can make almost any rifle bearable. I have a .444marlin handi rifle that is a pussycat. But I am not shooting factory loads either. Essentially shooting moderate .44 mag loads in .444 brass. .357mag with light bullets and 4.6 grains of Red...

I don't have a .44mag handi rifle. But I do have a .444marlin handi rifle that shoots .44mag loads in .444 brass. I like the lighter weight 220 grain Truncated Cone. It is in a Lee 6 cavity mold, does very well. Shoots well. I also have the Lee...

Waiting to see what they come up with for rifles caliber wise. But color me interested. I have a definite "thing" for unique single shots. At 800 to 1k$ which is more fun, 4 of those in 4 different calibers? Or a baby Rolling Block? Tough...

Yes it will hold an edge. I have at least 7 or 8 around the house. I do like to put the knife in a vice (padded) and take a small file to the back edge. They tend to have a rounded profile. For ferro rod work and scraping fatwood I like a...
