Some time ago I bought two mold halves from one of our castboolits brothers. Generally dimensioned for a .375, it was, as advertised, a basket case. -- Just what I was looking for! :) After making the sprue plate, drilling and setting alignment...

Got some torn ligaments on my strong side wrist. I still manage to shoot as good as before (for whatever that's worth :) ) It just hurts and sometimes I drop stuff.

I'm going to make a trip to the LGS and put the question to them. They have a competent smith at their beck & call. Kind of feel like I should have a spare or two - just in case.

Good all the way around: Family time, cast boolit, & meat in the freezer. I went to that lodge a couple years ago. Fun hunting, great accommodations, and the very best meat processing I've every seen. Some times the meat handling at pay to...

I have a general question: First of all, I want to Parkerize the frame to one of my muzzleloaders, a T/C Scout rifle. I have seen the work product from an outfit called "Texas Armament", and would be happy to have them do the work. Problem is,...

I have no issues with the Lee 310. Great mold and works well in a Winchester lever.

Well done. That'll be taste :) I do have a question: What has to be done to a Marlin 336 to convert it to a .38-55? Are there particular model 336's required or can a .30-30 / ..35 Rem be used? It sounds very interesting. 725

Up for grabs for anybody to use: I have about 70 / 80 (3/4 of a box) of Hornady bullet #2220, 22 cal, 45 grain, .223 hornets. If you can use them, they are yours. NOTE: Not for use where a .224 is called for. These were designed for use in a...

I like the short stocks. Perfect when I'm dressed up like the Michelan Man in winter. I replaced the original sights with the Williams "Fire Sights". Rear peep and a fiberoptic front. A real humdinger.

Grmps has the source ID'd. There was some work on this done by Junior1942 some years ago. His notes are still available, I'm sure.

I will disagree with the statements that only Swiss and OE by Goex are the only two modern BP's that will deliver great accuracy and shoot clean. About 4-5 years ago I purchased a 10Lb lot of KIK powder, lot 3910. It shot better than any other...

I've shot BP since the early 70's and have shot nothing but BP in my 44wcf guns in SASS matches for the past several years. I shoot a Uberti 73, Uberti Smokewagons revolvers and a TTN 12 ga. sxs with hammers. I also shoot a Navy Arms model 92 at...

Ballistol to clean. I use 2oz of the liquid in 14 oz of water to make my "moosemilk". You may spray it over the entire gun as it was developed to be used on both wood and metal by the Germans for the military. Then use a product by the name of EEZOX...

I think some of the use issues included natural lubes and black powder. I would speculate that the barrels were "seasoned" to operate with the materials at hand.
