My spares laptops are all in storage but I will eventually have a bunch of Dells, an 1100 and some 600m's. All running XP & of LPT port vintage. When I was doing my programming projects at home, I'd have several laptops running device emulators, a...

I've not been concerned about rifle/pistol barrels but had a friend wanting to shoot a 12 Ga flare in his dad's O/U super pricey trap gun, I suggested he not do that (heavy chokes in both barrels I think.) That could end badly, if the tracer was...

I always figure - if it's a bad enough day that I have to be shooting in anger, best to have plenty of ammo, so I tend to carry 4 mags (1 in pistol.) I figure if 29 rounds doesn't get me out of trouble, I should've stayed in bed that day. (Knees are...

Glad you're covered. I've shipped some heavy stuff (3 55 gallon drums full of horribly heavy ore, on a pallet, Gordon Trucking happily hauled that for us.) And some less heavy (Greyhound was, then at least, hauling freight in their luggage areas...

PB234, the problem with wiggling the turrets around a lot is that almost without fail, you end up with confusion as to what they were left set to last (even more so with more than one shooter.) We found that leaving them strictly alone and getting...

I am not sure that the multiplying problem is solvable by us mere mortals. When I get a new one I'll get 500 rounds of ammo set up and run it through, this removes the burrs that the manufacturer left in there (Sadly, MOST seem to do that; Price...

It's a bad habit to suggest to sellers "if you find any more items" as, if they list it, they get dinged for adding items to an existing ad, (That's forbidden.) Just a bit of a heads up.

It wasn't the hard plastic buttplate that bugged me, it was the raised letters "Ithacagun" imprinted in my shoulder, personally. Ithaca seems to be making these again, may make a thread asking about that. I know I liked the M37.

Look at Linear Motion Slide Rails, this is what they're using on 3d printers - GOOD mechanism. You can make it with Aluminum extrusions if you need metals' strength.

3d printing's best for prototyping, it is a smidge slow for "production"; depends on your printer & settings how slow or fast it is. IMO the best thing to do some times is to make a prototype with 3d printing and then cast it in urethane or the like...
