Shotguns work well, but if I end up with a barn cat, I'd like to stay somewhat quiet so as to not terrorize the cat. 22 Hornet would do that; Could use a 223 with a reduced load too I guess. But a 10-22 would work too maybe? Haven't shot a 17 HMR...

Once I move (eventually!) I want a better scope for low light for a .22; For varminting. In city now but planning to get out to the country and last time I had a cheap (TOO cheap) scope and found that, at night when the Raccoons were pestering us, I...

I've wondered if a big cold chisel would work for splitting such ingots - Maybe an air chisel. Less messy than a chainsaw or cutting torch maybe? But might be slow and annoying.

Sample pic from the "12 Ga from Hell" folks; They're using a 50BMG cartridge, straightening it out, then removing the semi rim and threading on a larger rim, to make a LONG huge 12 Ga shell that's maybe 3-3/4" long. 770Gr projectiles sent at...

On "Squirt Back" I'd put a dam in the way, or a fender washer to redirect the water outwards? Should do it.

Second on 257 Roberts. I'd buy some & maybe a 722 to shoot it in, heavy barreled for varminting.

W.R.Buchanan - Look up "the 12ga from Hell" thread, IIRC it's maybe started on the AR site but it is ALL over the web - Those are just about what you are thinking of maybe? It's even on the Zombie Squad forums. That could do you nicely here; I'm not...

If I had one and got into a firefight then I ran out after 25 2-3/4" buckshot rounds - I'd have left one heck of a mark on the other side! If someone who was any good with it had that, it'd sure put dry ice down the shorts of any would be home...

My best guess on cravings is that they're happening because whatever she's craving has some nutrient she / the baby need. (Or because it's chocolate :P) Easiest to keep her in good nutrients :)

Traffer, I haven't tried this but why add a 3rd flash hole when you already have 2? The Berdan Anvil would be more of a problem I'd think?

Interesting. For making shot shells from donor cartridges, though, I need the case dimensions, and case volume is a moot point. A huge cartridge that will not chamber or extract short of a sledgehammer being used to seat it, won't do.

It would just depend on its' density I'd think? Doesn't look like it - Lead density: 10.66 g/cm3 (when molten) Lead dioxide density: 9.38 g/cm3
