I've used labelers with sticky-back tape, or printed labels (laser printer) and scotch / shipping taped those on, those work pretty well too. Sharpie is easy to erase with Isopropyl. Stamps are fairly permanent.

An outhouse with an open back sounds like something a creeper would build, sorta odd. Needs a door on there to keep wildlife out!

CCI .22 Long CB caps (same thing as Colibri powderless ammo basically) or a pellet rifle will do it, I think of this as less being "bird police" and more as a target rich environment :)

Lots of possible binders, not sure what people use; Past binders for primers have included dextrin, lacquer, Duco Cement, gum arabic, gum tragacanth, glue, sodium alginate, rubber cement, and karaya gum. Among others.

GregLaROCHE - Mods can change post titles, you could probably just report the post and request that we fix the title, or PM one of us who is on. Communication's hard enough w/o typos!

witz, no, Acetone doesn't smooth PLA, just ABS. PLA takes dichloromethane which is "mildly hard on humans" - Bad inhalation hazard & can enter us through the skin.

Try milsurp brass, I've made all of mine using that with no issues; It will only load so many times, with flaring / roll crimping, but it is cheap and does the job.

I'm wondering, could one get a 1"x2" or 2x2 piece of lumber, attach a weight to the top & a metal stamp, then use that to quick mark your ingots? Just an idle thought... When I move I will probably make wooden alloy boxes out of pallet stock,...

1I-Jack, you could "cheap lathe" an expander for it out of even mild steel, that would last a long time and fix the belling issue. (I call chucking a piece of material like a 3/8" chunk of steel up in a hand drill & spinning it "cheap lathing" it,...

You need enough composition that it fires on impact and generates enough hot fire/sparks to consistently fire your round; I'd start at maybe 5 and see if it fired quickly and consistently, or hangfired consistently, caps are cheap enough.
