You can do a do a Bore Casting to determine the size of your barrel. You just have to do it with a plug 1" inside the bore and use a threaded rod cast in the plug to pull the casting out of the bore. If you use Cerosafe , and the casting won't...

I have found issues like Earlwb discribed with lots of Mil Surp ammo. Being a reloader , I just pulled down the ammo and saved all the components. I reused the bullets and powder in boxer primed cases with a consistent powder slightly reduced...

Thank you for your opinion on the Traditions. It sounds like the Typical Minor issues found in almost all rifles on the market today. With a little Tuning and fitting , those problems can be Fixed. I have found the same issues with the TC rifles...

grade 8 bolts can be annealed for machining, then rehardened. They wont come back up to Grade 8, but they will be harder than Mild steel by far. They will reharden with Flame heating, and Quenching in Oil. A simple At Home Fix. I have used that...

Get the carbide set . It saves lubing the cases. And I do not use the factory crimp die. I have 9mm dies from RCBS and Lee. I use the Lee more because it is Carbide. The RCBS is only a three die set and I used it for over 30 years

Your friend will jump on the band wagon when Hazmat fees go thru the roof, or they restrict sales on real BP. Better to learn how NOW, then to wait till later on how to make your own.

You really don't need to PLUG the barrel when doing Slow Rust. If you do not put Acid in the Bore, you will only get Flash Rust at best. But it is your option, you are doing nothing Wrong. Looks Good. I have several rifles to Re-Blue before the...

Actually, When you do a Slow Rust Blue, You do Not Polish out the parts to a Mirror Finish. You bead Blast it, or Sand Blast the parts to open up the metal and allow it to rust better. Or at best, polish the parts with 220 grit paper. But by...

Slow Rust Bluing does Not produce a Shiny Blue Finish. It is more of a Mat Black Finish. But the rust protection is Far Better than most Bluing finishes. But the finish is not as flat as Parkerizing
