Checking your Rough Bolt Lug Engagement is easy enough to do with a Felt Tip Pen. Just color the back of your bolt lugs with the pen then work the bolt on a Once fired Unsized case to add a little back pressure on the bolt. Then look at where the...

The T O W oversized Nipples work great. I have had to use them before on Abused Rifles that I bought. I prefer them to any Helicoil insert on rifles that I intend on keeping in my collection. But if you intend to sell the rifle , be Honest and...

You do not need a Headspace Gage if you have a Brand New " Unfired " loaded round or Casing. You put on a couple of layers scotch tape on the case head , put it into the rifle and see if the bolt Will Not Close. Don't Force it closed. Then...

I have bent a few TC hammers in the past. I made a miniature Hickey bar like we use to bend rebar to bend them and put the pressure just where you need it. But on a TC you don't have the option of rotating or shimming the drum. So your options...

The top of the magazine box should not touch the bottom of the receiver. There should be a 1/16" gap along the whole top of the box. But increasing that gap will not hurt anything , but since you are inletting things , and not just trying to bolt...

One other trick to make your BLO easier to apply and dry faster is to thin the BLO with Terpintine. Do not use Paint Thinner or Mineral Spirits. Only real Terpintine in Boiled Linseed Oil.

The safety will only move when the bolt is in the cocked firing position. There is a cam on the safety that may need to be Re Fitted to function properly

Wow. Now who came up with that , and can call that a muzzle loader. That ain't much different than taking a 45/70 , loading the casing Full of black powder , then shoving a projectile down the barrel.

The drop in the stock on the Mowrey was OK for Wing Shooting , but it was too slow to shoulder for upland game like Rabbits unless you could get a shot when they were sitting still.. Never got a chance to try them on Squirrels in trees

Yes. It is lighter , and you get more shot per once. Makes a good compensation for the shotguns with out a choke like mine was.

Be sure to look at your case and try to determine what caused the case to stick so hard. Look for shiny spots on the case or visable damage. Also inspect the chamber really good.
