Corian by itself no. I would reinforce the underside with 1/2" or 3/4" plywood. Nice thing about Corian it will be easy to clean up spills and the like.

Yes that's the alloy. Figured 1 lb tin and the lino would come in a 1% give or take. I might have some tin solder scraps I can throw in as well.

I purchased mine from EGW and I believe Wilson Combat has them as well. There a gentleman by the name of Harrison (I think that's his name) that makes them as well and is highly thought of on the 1911 forums.

It's a replacement for the standard firing pin stop,it has a very small radius on the bottom and the small radius helps slow down the rearward momentum of the slide. It's not magic just physics and how JMB originally designed the 1911

I have 4 SR 1911,2 45 auto,9mm Comander and a 10mm. All but the 9mm were great out of the box,the and 9mm needed a slightly heavier recoil spring at 12 lbs. Factory spring was way to light causing failure to feed. As far as the 10mm and it...

I have a Ruger in 10mm and one of the things I tried was having a flat bottom firing pin stop installed and that helps slow the slide down and reduces felt recoil to some extent and if you reload it will keep your brass from launching into the next...
