Idz replied to a thread Dual Citizenship Rescinded in Our Town
Sorry to see sensible folks leave NM. With the crooked Gov and legislature bought by Bloomberg we are in real trouble. Some sad examples: Gunowner Harassment act requires FFL NICS check on all gun sales, even for those with FFL3 licenses, CCW, etc.,...

Having smelted about 5000 lbs of range scrap in my propane tank pot I would be leery of a bottom pour pot. There is just too much junk in the scrap. Most of it floats on the lead but some sticks to the bottom until I scrape it loose.

Idz replied to a thread Pulled primers in Reloading Equipment
Primer sensitivity is usually advertised as an all-fire energy of a weight dropped on the firing pin. However to fire a primer you need not only the listed energy but sufficient power. Supplying energy slowly like a gentle hand on the de-capping...

Idz replied to a thread Reload primers in Reloading Equipment
I do things slightly different. One important tool is a paintstick with drilled hole to hold the primers. It makes anvil removal and insertion easy. Other difference is I put the rollcap in the cup, then anvil, then fill assembled cup with 4Fg...

I got one bad egg at a Sainsbury in London and a couple more at Monoprix in France. Considering my total time in Europe comes to a few months I wasn't impressed.

Idz replied to a thread Boiled eggs in Cookin' Recipe's
I peel boiled eggs under water with a spoon its much easier. I never encountered a rotten egg in the USA but in Europe where they don't wash and refrigerate I've had several of the foulest smelling things ever.

Its not clear from your ad that you're aware of all the BATFE rules. If not you better talk to an FFL before you get into a lot of trouble.

You can mail rifles to yourself. https://www.atf.gov/firearms/qa/may-nonlicensee-ship-firearm-through-us-postal-service The airlines x-ray everything so the thieves in baggage handling know what you're sending. They may 'lose' it or destroy it...

I always size after PC. If things start sticking I wipe my finger across a can of imperial sizing wax then rub a little on the boolit and sticking disappears. The PC itself lubes fairly well but not perfect.

Idz replied to a thread 577/450 Martini Henry in Military Rifles
I formed the Magtech 24ga cases with two 2-piece homemade dies. I used 7/8-14 threaded rod for the dies. Die 1 bottom was 1.275" long with a 0.657 straight hole bored through. Die 1 top was .915 long with a tapered section going from .650 diameter...

If you make your own press mounted dies you can make a hundred checks in few minutes. Unless you're going into business that should be a good enough production rate.

Are you allowed to make your own hunting ammo in CA? A friend from CA told me only CA-certified ammo is allowed for hunting so he could not make his own even if it used lead-free bullets.
