I haven't done much real accuracy testing but in my limited comparisons of commercial slugs and my homemade slugs I couldn't tell the difference.

I used a deck screw and pliers to uncrimp WalMart 12 ga Winchester cheap 1 1/8 oz shotshells. A 1/16" styrofoam takeout box provided 5/8" diameter wads to take up the extra space above and below the 1oz Lee slug . A Lee shotshell reloader recrimped...

I heard an interesting comment from the Albuquerque PD. They said because of the (dumb) laws in New Mexico people are forced to leave their firearms in vehicles when going into bars, some restaurants and businesses, and anywhere a No Guns sign is...

It will probably smooth out after lots of rounds. Its just annoying because none of my other pistols do that.

I picked up one of these for students with hand strength problems. I tried it out and all my shots were low on the target. After doing a very slow trigger press I discovered the trigger has a sticky spot immediately before releasing. After...

What I use for small cracks is "TiteBond Instant Bond wood adhesive thin" Being water thin it wicks into hairline cracks and is formulated for wood. Its held up in my rifles and shotguns for several years now.

What cured my 9mm leading problems was sizing the PC soft lead bullet to 0.357" and expanding the case neck to about 0.358 with a homemade pin in my M-die to a depth of 0.15 inch. I use the Lee seating die only to set OAL and finish with the Lee FCD...

Probably the ChiComs stole the HF red formula from somebody and got caught so they discontinued it. I like the HF red but had splotches sometimes. By using the shake no BBs, dump-in-basket, and bake method its easy to just give bullets another coat...

The old Lee style used a 1/16" dia dowel pin. I never broke one but one did pull out and get lost on the floor. Lee has gotten fancy.

If a normal old lamp doesn't work you probably have a loose connection somewhere. The loose connection arcs and burns and makes a high resistance. Your voltmeter will likely show 120 VAC because the meter draws almost no current. If you add a load...

If you agreed to separate finances you have no right to gripe unless they don't pay you back as agreed. Technically they were obligated to disclose the personal loan from you to the bank that gave them another loan.

HK delayed blowback guns used a fluted chamber to fix hard extraction problems. Some people reload them but some say never reload them.

A lot also has to do with peoples egos. People won't admit they paid twice as much for the identical product except for nameplate. I remember selling sewing machines in the 1960's. The machines came from Japan and included a half dozen different...

The best 9mm load I've found is the LEE 356-125-2R using range scrap (BHN 9-10) powder coated twice and basket baked twice with HF red at 400F for 20 minutes and then sized to 0.357. I use a deep case expander to ensure no tipping when seating, 3.8...

In WW2 the occupied countries could not get gasoline so they made a still to produce wood-gas to operate their tractors and trucks. Years ago in the USA FEMA published a brochure how to make a wood-gas still to power gasoline operated generators in...
