I have a hot .25 cal Disco that is a genuine 100+ FPE gun, so I pulled it off the wall today to try some velocity experiments with different size bullets.... I have some 50.4 gr. FN BBTs (NOE 250-51), and also some 58.3 gr. FN (NOE 250-60), plus the...

You want to keep the diameter to the same as the groove diameter of your barrel.... I bought some #3 buck to try in my .25 cal, and the variation in diameter was enough to go from rolling through the barrel to not being able to load them.... When I...

Nope, its rock solid.... It doesn't require a lot of force to size bullets, of course.... I sure like not having to balance the bullet on top of the ram any more.... You don't need to add weight to the handle, but if you don't, the handle sticks out...

Not my idea, but it works REALLY well for sizing bullets.... Today I mounted my Lee Press upside down on my bench.... I used 1/4" ready rod to make the long bolts, and 1/2" pipe for the standoffs.... The only modification needed to the press...

I did a soap penetration test today, comparing the 26.7 gr. NOE Hunter pellet to a 25.4 gr. JSB King, both fired from my regulated 2560 which shoots at 52 FPE.... Here are the recovered pellets, side and front view.... The head of the NOE...

rsterne replied to a thread .172 cal 24.7 gr. NOE HPs in AirGuns
NOTE, it's a .172 cal PB barrel, not an airgun barrel.... the diameters are different enough to not be interchangeable.... The same homemade PCP platform can also be used with a 6mm barrel.... I have a similar gun that is unregulated for .224 cal...

I tested the .172 cal 24.7 gr. NOE HP in soap today.... It is quite spectacular at 1050 fps (60 FPE). The penetration was 3.5", and the wound cavity is nearly as wide as the length of the bullet, at 0.45".... Here is a photo of the...
