Most refrigerators and freezers made since the 60s have magnetic door seals that don't mechanically latch. They are well insulated to maintain an even temp, and a desiccant can will keep them reasonably dry. Although not the SAMI listed...

About 15 years ago the CZ52 in 762-25 was a popular import. As a group, 8 of us bought them from Ohio Guns. Not the easiest to become proficient with, but a good defense weapon at the price. We also got about 1000 rounds each of the Berdan...

Didn't see what you'r using for frame material, but even thin gussets at frame joints will be a plus with very little added weight.

In the top R hand pix, what am I seeing that sticks out from under the primer tray? It must be something you used to prop it for the pix. I'm interested, although I have no idea why. I already have 3 of them.

I would only recommend ultrasonic for smaller batches. The rotary tumblers w/SS pins for large numbers, and vibrators for light duty. The cons are rinsing, dirty water disposal, and drying with ultrasonic and rotary, lead-laden dust from...

I take it you are using short lengths of copper wire. Any particular length, or random? Did you cut with side cutters leaving pinched ends? It sounds like something else I'll just simply have to try since I have what it takes. Necessity might be...

I built 2 covers with 1 1/2" spruce and luan int. covered on the outside with diamond embossed aluminum. Everything glued and stapled or screwed. The glass weighed as much as the cover. You could load or onload from inside by lifting with your...

There certainly seems to be a lot of regulars missing here of late. Lots of knowledge gone. The membership numbers don't show it but my memory says so. Some even left on their own for whatever. If we lose the older members we will also lose the...

My first rifle (22LR 552 BDL) and shotgun (1100 BDL) were Remingtons but that was late 60s and everything has suffered since then. Glad I still have them since I couldn't afford to replace them. From top of the heap to bankruptcy is a big fall.

After 4 big cups and the time spent, I bet I know the next thing your gonna do before leaving for work. LOL Sometimes I used to do the same and it required an unscheduled pitstop. Hope you work out the LPP problem.

While I can't speak for gunsmiths, I'd much rather have a gemstone cut by a talented hobbyist than a commercial or professional. I dare you to find fault with any stone I've cut but can find faults in all "professional" cuts. They can't take the...

These mini loaf pans were the heavier aluminum (not the thin disposable) and at the time I never gave thought to them not being capeable of handeling the heat and weight. They were just another mold size to add to my arsonal of ingot molds. The...

I used to always use a pair of cheap HF nitril gloves for the same reason. Spitting in a public place without using a bottle with lid is just plain rude and nasty.

I got the look today. There was the tall tail evidence of chocolate in the corner of my grin, and I had forgotten to give hers to her. Good thing I had bought it ahead of time when I bought mine.
