I picked up a box of 40 Tula FMJ ammo for Wally World for $10.42 and took it out to try after I cleaned it. I found a zombie target(sorry...I despise the zombie shooting thing, lol) for a $1 at the LGS so I figured I’d try it out. I rested the...

Glad you figured it out. I would tell to buy the Nikon. My protaffs are brighter and clearer than my Leupold vx4's. I was a Leopold fan per looks and brand recognition for years till I looked through a nikon. Its been all Nikons ever since.

Dmz makes a bullet proof 1 piece mount that's pretty light. I have one on a remington 7600 and my savage 220.

The 180 grain Speer “pointed” bullet shoots it’s best so far at 3/4” group with a pump 7600 carbine at 100 yards and 7/8” group at 100 yards with my 100th anniversary 336 both in 35 Remington. That’s with testing about 14 different plus powder...

Taylor humor yourself and put it back in the OEM, unaltered stock, and shoot a few groups out of it and see if any thing changes before doing anything else. Most guys I know who own these 220’s shoot one ragged hole at 100 yards with the correct...

I load the 180 grain Speer a little hot in my 35 Rem. 2350 fps. It makes a good 2” entry and exit holes in whitetails. Want load some up in my 35 whelen.

I hate to tell you shimming your bases raises your scope up just as medium rings would. It’s going to take quite a few stacked shims to give your handle proper clearance and then your still going to bang your fingers on the optic when trying to...

Would not modify the bolt or gun on any way. To modify a rilfe worth hundreds of dollars o accept a $39 optic imo is not the route to go. Do yourself a favor and buy the correct hight rings. Your going to eventually either wreck or knock your scope...
