Put them in a covered bucket with acetone, thinners, etc. I just threw what I had remaining in cans and let them sit a few days. Came out great with no adhesives and smelted just fine.

Geezer, I like the Post Mistress. Mine was my match maker. Tried fixing me up twice till I found my girlfriend on Farmersonly.com. In my area, they know everyone and are very helpful.

Wiljen used to make a good one. I got one and is better than others I have tried. Think he had an issue with customs that cost him $ and dont think he did anymore after that.

Kinda hard to propose a solution if no one else is having an issue. My guess would be the rod got bent somehow and is causing a strain. I have not had a problem with mine either.

I tried the paint can in a whole house wood stove outside that does not work. I use it to burn all the cardboard and paper that I get. I guess it did not stay hot enough but I burn enough that the embers were still hot the next day.
