Also can find a lot of free pdfs and stuff written by Al Stohlman. Think I got a bunch from the Tandy leather website library. Lot of free patterns that you just need to tailor to your pistol.

My girlfriend just tried racking my new M&P 380 EZ. She is petite (short with a size 5 1/2 shoe) . Racking the slide was ok but had problems releasing the slide. Gun is brand new so will probably loosen up with use. Good luck.

Years ago there was an auction to benefit a member here and he had offered up some signed books to the winner. I still have them but just never got around to reading them. Funny how time and life gets away from you. As I said previously, R.I.P....

It is interesting to see the various comments. This site is primarily about self sufficiency when you get down to it. Yes a machine like this would be a lot of work but you would learn a lot about various things. As I said, I personally don't have...

I knew before I posted that it would not be up to standards. This was more of a DIY project for someone who possibly had the tools and such. Maybe using this a good lathe could be built as country gent stated. I don't have the materials, etc. as I...

I was not sure where to put this but I know a lot of folks talk about getting a lathe with price being the primary obstacle - myself included. I do not know how/where I would get the plates cut and do not think this would be the most precise...
