Went back and looked. That was a 250 gr HP PC'd and sized to .452. I guess that's why I write this stuff down. Shelly

I shoot a 255 gr pc'd boolit sized at .452 over 8 gr of Unique. Ruger BH 7 1/2 gets 930fps. SW 625 5 1/2 gets about 890. Both with acceptable accuracy and comfortable to shoot.

When filling capsules with medicine pharmacists use a molded tray to shake capsules so they fall standing up right into holes so they can be filled. Several years ago someone discovered the trays also work for assembling jackets and cores in...

I remember reading something about that here on this forum, a long time ago. Don't remember the details. There should be a reference to the sizes of capsules. Most likely in millimeters. Do you know a pharmacist? a quick question might get...

My loading manuals list mild loads for older revolvers and high powered loads for Ruger and Contenders. Where does the Model 25 fall. I've been using the mild loads. I would like to know what is considered a full power load for this revolver.

That problem has bothered me. You want the die adjusted so good leverage can be used in resizing the case. Then run out of stroke. I just take a small piece of rod, set it on the punch and work the handle again. It does slow things down...

Nice sunny day, got the Matador, chronograph, and range finder out to work up a come up card. The Matador manual says a .25 caliber will 50 rounds at full power, from 300 Bar down 150 bar pressure. (300 bar is about 4350 psi) EDgun west...

I have heard good things about Theoben air guns, never handled one. Don't have an mental picture of what one looks like. There is a Theoben type trigger some people like, Benjamin builds marauders with Theoben triggers.

I like airguns for less power, If I want to reach, a .22-250 AI with 1in8 twist and 75 grainers is ready to go. Big game? .35 Whelen will tip over anything roaming Montana. Back yard training? Varmit hunting in places starting to get built up?...

Stayed home, but installed sling swivel studs in the matador, gave the stock a nice rubdown with boiled linseed oil. Installed Athlon Talos 4-14 BTR scope robbed off another gun. Pics or it didn't happen!

Math in public can be so embarrassing. In #7 post above, I said 1 in 16 twist is 1.333 revolutions per foot of travel. Really it is .75 revolutions per foot of travel.

In my experience, a good PCP holds pressure almost indefinitely. A CO-2 is always empty unless just filled. Have to admit, never had an good quality CO-2. But do have 1 starter grade PCP that does not hold air. Since making the leap and...

Rotational velocity pulls bullets apart. Take your rifling twist, usually given in one revolution per inches and convert it to revolutions per foot. 1 in 8 = 1.5 1 in 12 =1 1 in 16 = 1.33333 Multiply by muzzle velocity to get revolutions...
