I have one in .28 caliber. James Warner Pocket Model. Mine is a Second Model first variation (.28 caliber, round barrel). There were only a few hundred of mine made. Yours is a Second Model, second variation (.31 caliber, round barrel). 9,000+...

I just removed all the rotted wood from the bottom corner of the door. It was along the bottom and up the side, probably 5" each side. The door is 1 3/4" thick so I'll probably glue pieces together if I can't find wood that thick. Bondo wouldn't...

I have the West Systems 2 part epoxy (pricey stuff but good), and a few different fillers, but I just found a board in my basement that's just about the exact thickness as the door. I think I'll try replacing the bad wood.

Cutting out the bad wood does make sense and was my first choice, then I started pricing out replacement doors, etc. Bondo would be easy but not long lasting. Thanks for the suggestions.

The door is over 30 yrs old. It's an Atrium door - half stationary glass, half door. The bad wood is on the bottom of the hinged door. I'd have to replace it with a slider or another Atrium type door. The rough opening from 30 yrs ago is a...

I want to repair a rotted section of an exterior wooden door - not a large section. Bondo sells a product for wood. Is there any difference between that and Bondo for a car repair?

Yeah, I cut some 38 sp brass down to the 38 S&W brass size. I'll use 38 S&W load data (same bullet). I found a good description and history of the 38 on this site:...

I can just about guarantee that if someone went to a therapist for help dealing with claustrophobia during an MRI, the therapist would pull out their script pad and write an order for Diazepam, Lorazepam, etc.

I'm claustrophobic because I spent too much time in an enclosed space. And...AND...I have very little faith in counselors and/or therapists, for good reasons.

I have two .38 S&W revolvers - a Colt Police Positive and an Enfield "Tanker." In each I use 158 gr cast bullets sized at .358" with Starline brass. The Enfield is not accurate but the Colt is. I have a box of vintage .38 S&W bullets and I...

Jumping off a roof makes no sense - it's not safe. Shooting .38 "shorts" makes some sense to me, if it's safe. Basically, that was my question - is it safe to shoot sized .38 S&W brass in a .38 SP? Other than the crud build up (I sometimes shoot...

For the heck of it, I ran a .38 S&W case through a .38 Spl die. The rims are identical, and I use the same cast bullets in my Colt .38 S&W and Smith and Wesson .38 Airweight. The .38 S&W case sized down perfectly (and easily) to fit in the...

My ROA was used when I got it, and I've had it quite awhile, and it still has the original nipples, which are fine. In fact, I use ROA nipples in my Savage and North .36.

A few years ago, a friend of mine - nice looking woman - was having an MRI about the same time I needed one. I suggested that maybe we could share a machine. For some reason, it didn't happen.

Round barrel, hinged loading lever, brass frame, which would make it a Griswold and Gunnison copy except for the .44 caliber (they were .36).
